so, guess what time it is? report time! this is my report from the West Bend show on July 23rd. just a warning - some fangirling is in here, and i didn't read it over - so it isn't checked over. sorry, too lazy. lol. anyway, enjoy (if you read it, that is. lol)

The day started at 6:00 in the morning, when the three of us – Allison, Becky, & I – got up in the morning, leaving the house an hour later. The drive to West Bend was uneventful, but not long – about forty minutes or so. When we arrived, we had about ten minutes before the doors opened and we were able to get in, so we waited to get in. When the doors opened, we quickly made our way to the stage. There were three people in front of us who made a break for it, but it wasn’t going to run all the way there. So, we just walked briskly, and ended up in line behind those three people. There were only two people in front of them in our line – there were two lines and maybe five people in that other line as well. So, that began the day of waiting. Of course, it wasn’t grass we were waiting on, but dirt. And, we didn’t have any blankets, so that was fabulous, so we were screwed with sitting (until later when a nice lady lent us two of her blankets to sit on).

Nothing eventful happened till about 11 when the bus arrived, and about a half an hour later, Andy appeared and headed on stage to see how it was going. He was on stage for a good while, and after he got on and off, we finally went and got some food from the fair. There wasn’t too much to choose from, so I just got Cousin’s, and two waters ‘cause I was dying of thirst. But anyway, we went back to the line, and sat and ate. During this time, we had started making a poster. The poster said “I’ve got my backbone stuffed inside my purse, but you can win me over with a Kiss On The Neck”, but I didn’t end up holding it up ‘cause he ended up playing the song first, and I was going to do it if he didn’t (‘cause I know he opened with Heroes once or twice). But, anyway, moving on!

I took a bathroom break, and then came back and Becky said she saw a roadie that looked like David, and I was like, “Oh, cool” and didn’t think much of it. Then, Joey came out and went on stage and started playing around with his bass. As this was going down, we noticed Kyle by the van, and opening the door and out pops Mr. Neal Tiemann, who quickly runs onto the bus, and then Kyle is unloading beer, along with this guy in a cap and a fedora. I was like “HUH?” and then realized, “IT IS DAVE!” XD And, that’s when Becky told me that was the guy she saw before and I was like, “well, that isn’t a roadie”. lol.. So anyway, we saw him unload some beer to the bus, and then get back in the van, and it drove off to the hotel.

After that, again, nothing happened. By this point, the line was getting a little longer, and by this point, our other friend, Amanda and her aunt arrived (they had purple tickets, so they were in the back section while we were in the front section ‘cause we had orange tickets). So, we hung out with her and her aunt while we waited, and as we waited, David came back, wearing a blue plaid shirt and I think I died a little inside. I’ve been dying to see him in plaid, so I got a little excited about that. lol. But, anyway! He went on the bus, and I don’t know when, but later, Joey – I think – came out with a Frisbee and started playing with some crew guys, and then Andy came out, too. Neal did, as well, but didn’t start playing till a little later – he just smoked. XD But, then David came back out with a mitt and started playing baseball with one of the crew guys.

Though, before this happened, and after David went on the bus, he came back out and talked to some guys who I figured we’re from the local radio station – 99.1 WMYX since they had tickets for a meet&greet with him. They interviewed him, and then were leaving, and they came over by our line and were talking to us. The guy was like “I’m Tony, and this is Intern Aaron” and asked us like how long we had been there, and asked us if we listened to the Mix – the radio station – and I was like, “Um, YEA!” and then the two of them came over the fence and started talking to our group, and Tony ended up interviewing me, and asking me to repeat things like “You’re listening to 99.1 WMYX!” and then he talked to Becky, and then I said something about Van, and we was like, “he’s on vacation, so I’m taking over for him this week” and I was like, “you’re on a lot then ‘cause you’re producer Tony” and he’s like “yeah” and I was like, “hey, I was the one who emailed you about your sports theory” and he was like “that was you!?” “yeah!” XD It was pretty awesome. lol. Then, he had a group of us yell things into their recorder about the station, and then left.

Now, we’re back to the baseball and Frisbee playing of David and Co. XD So, of course, we all took a ton of pictures of this. I got a lot of David’s butt since he didn’t really face us, but then as we were doing this, FOX 6, a local news station came around. The news lady asked if any of us wanted to interviewed, and I was like “SURE!” I was already on the radio, why not be on TV? So, she interviewed me and a little bit of it ended up on the news (along with my face during the concert, and like, JUST MY FACE on the screen. rofl). After that was done, we continued to watch them – a lot of great moments happened like David trying to catch the Frisbee with his glove, him hitting the bus with the Frisbee, him throwing his glove to try and hit the Frisbee and baseball, Andy jumping up really high for the Frisbee and catching it – but afer a while, they went into the tent they set up to eat, so that was that. They came out later again, but I just chilled in line to give David and Co. some space and not watching them the whole time. XD

Finally, six o’clock rolled around, and we were let in to the thing. We couldn’t get first row because FOX 6 had it reserved for the people of the meet&greet, and apparently – since I went to get merch at this point – it caused the people in front of us to get really pissed since they were there at 8 and everything (which, we were too, but whatever). So, somebody was like, “well, we’ll give you three seats in the first row then”. They were happy, but the catch? They were on the end – so they had to decide what they wanted, and thankfully – at least, for us – they took those seats, which meant we got dead center second row. FUCKING AWESOME. Anyway! We had to wait another hour and a half before the band, Green River Ordience came on. They were really good; I enjoyed them a lot, and it was pretty funny ‘cause David and Andy were standing off to the side like, the entire set. So, I got to glimpse at them a good number of times. lol.

But, after they were finished, it was time for David Cook & Co…..

Kiss On The Neck
Always, always a great opener. Of course, he waited a good minute before he began playing it, but that was totally cool. During this time, the news crew was filming and we were caught on camera and put on TV (this wasn’t my solo shot, the three of us and the people in front of us). But, it didn’t matter ‘cause I was totally pumped for the concert, and they all looked amazing. And, of course, David had on the plaid, which had like three or four buttons undone and his cowboy boots on. So yeah, SEX. rofl. During this song, I caught Andy’s eye for a good couple of seconds before he looked away. And, I think this was when the beach ball almost hit me, and I caught David’s eye after it. Like, it went right by my head, and I dodged it, and I looked right at David after it, and his eyes were like, wide like “OMG” because the beach ball almost hit me. lol.

Mr. Sensitive
I knew this song was going to be second – he hasn’t failed me on that since Green Bay all the way back in February. So, not a shocker on this one, but of course, it was just as awesome – if not better – as all the other times. He slammed his guitar with his hand a few times during the bridge, which is completely awesome. And, this was when I got my solo shot (or, we’re pretty sure that is when it is ‘cause he is playing in the backround before the shot, I just can’t read my lips. haha).

Heroes
Again, another great song live, and it is awesome ‘cause Neal sings, too! And, we know how much I love that man (though, I’m not sure about the pornstash, as we call it).. So, I always enjoy Heroes. Plus, it is upbeat, and gets you going and just has a lot of energy that really gets you into the show.

We're Only Honest When We're Sleeping
David says “goodnight!” and goes to leave, but of course, is kidding. Then, he talks about how the weather is great, and how the girls are wearing not enough, but at the same time, enough so that they can imagine. And, some girl apparently gave an “omg” face, and he was all like. “we really think this” (this isn’t exactly how it goes –this is how it goes) and then says this next song was a song he was going to put on his album that he was recording before Idol and that Neal was producing it, and then he asks if they are going to play the song to Neal. Neal doesn’t say anything, and then he tells Neal to say something. Neal goes, “right”, and that’s the last time you hear him say anything. rofl. But, then he introduces this song, and looks around the audience, and he catches sight of Allison’s Terry poster. It said “I Enjoy The Blue Lights” and has a big picture of Terry in the middle, and then the little K-Mart blue lights around it. He points at it and chuckles before starting the song. It was awesome. lol. Now, by this point, my camera decided to freeze and I could not fix it. So, I lost my camera, and I was little irritated, so it was hard to concentrate on the song ‘cause at first, I wasn’t sure what was happening with my camera, and I was concerned about it. But, what I did enjoy of the song was awesome. I love hearing songs that aren’t released, or are older songs. :)

Lie
Of course, beautiful like usual. I never get sick of hearing him sing this song. During it, I called up my friend, Lee, and let her listen to it as I sang along and enjoyed the awesomeness that is this song. He had banter before it, and he talked about what the song was about, and then when he was finished, he was like. “Wow, awesome downer note!” XD Hilarious, as usually.

Bar-Ba-Sol
He told us that all that was a warm up and now we were getting to the real stuff, and he told us we should move around. Maybe sway our hips a little, and he did it, and it was really adorable. :) I think I died a little inside. But, of course, I get into this like hardcore, and Joey noticed me at this point, and I was totally stoked about that. I was like, screaming this song and like, headbanging and everything. Then, David and Neal soloed and I was kind of said ‘cause David went to the left side of the stage (if you’re looking at the stage) and Neal the other instead of standing next to each other like they normally do. Of course, I stared at Neal ‘cause I had been looking at David most of the time anyway, so I need to give Neal some love. lol. XD

Hot for Teacher
This was a complete surprise. To be honest, I had thought he stopped playing it after the college tour since, well, it seemed logical since it was about being hot for, well, a teacher. So, when David was all like “Well, I’ll let Kyle introduce this one”, I almost wet my pants. hahahaha. But, this song is like, fucking hot live since Kyle’s got that drum solo, and Neal’s got that guitar solo and David yelling “CLASS DISMISSED” is just, ugh. Seriously, this song is sex – pure and honest sex. I LOVE IT. XD

Souvenir
This was funny. He says we should give the band a hand, and then gives them a hand as well, and does it for a while before he stops and goes. “I was wondering how long I could do that before it become uncomfortable. Well, I just learned.” lol. And then, he goes, “You guys having a good time?” And everybody just screams, and then he asks if we wanna hear an unreleased song, and again, screaming. But, it wasn’t loud enough ‘cause he goes “that was quieter, I’m a little hurt.” And then asks us again if we want to hear the song, and screams erupt from the crowd, louder this time. Then, he introduces the song and plays it and I honestly, have only listened to the song once, and I thought it was great – and it was even greater live. Even though I don’t know the lyrics, I caught most of them and it is a beautiful song. It is pretty, and I love it.

Declaration
This song, no matter how many times I hear it, will never get tired of it. It is like, fucking amazing live. I don’t like listening to it on the CD anymore ‘cause it doesn’t sound as cool as a live version. Honestly, any live of this makes me totally pumped and excited, and yeah. Of course, we clapped when he did the clapping, and we all got into it once again.

Come Back to Me
So, maybe some of you have seen the banter about the radioactive necklace? Well, that was my friend’s necklace – she was standing right next to me and he noticed it. And was like, “That’s a fantastic light-up necklace you’re wearing. Is that radioactive, what the hell? I see all these flashes and then I see THAT THING.” hahahahaha. Probably one of the greatest moments, EVER (though, that could be because I’m a little biased. XD) But, then he turns his attention to a girl and say something about wanting a hug, and he repeats the request and it is HILARIOUS. I love the banter before this song ‘cause then he goes on to talk about this being the new single and how you can get it on iTunes and how the price went up – it is just hilarious. Honestly, watch the video if you haven’t yet. You’ll LOL like none other. XD But anyway! Song time! Everyone it seemed was singing, and getting into. I believe (shows are starting to mix together. lol) Joey started clapping, so we all started clapping with him before he started playing. Oh, and at the beginning of the song, David just kept throwing pick after pick at Neal, who just stared blankly back at him before he finally threw one back at him, but totally missed David. rofl. XD Anyway, song was fabulous, as just like every other song. :)

Light On
There was a small break, of course, but when David and Co. came back on, David was giving Kyle a piggy back ride to his drums, and it was ADORABLE. Hard to see, but I did see and was like “AWWWW”. But, after that, he came to the mic stand and was like, “Okay, raise the lights so everyone can see THIS” and alas, there was a big bra sitting on his mic stand. I don’t recall that being thrown up there, but I was watching David and Co. off to the side during the break, so maybe it was thrown on? But, anyway, he looks at it and has NO CLUE what to do with it. So, he picks it up, and apparently, I wasn’t in my right mind and yelled “PUT IT ON” at him (there is a video of this as well – I’m the first one you hear yelling it), and then other’s yelled it, and he said something about there being gum in it and put it on the ground saying he would pick it up later. Then, they started the song and we all sang during the one part, of course, after he asked us if we wanted to sing, like usual. And, like usual, we screamed “yes” and we sang along with him – well, by ourselves while he mouthed it along before starting to sing again.

A Daily AntheM
Of course, the closer was FUCKING AMAZING. Like, I got a little teary-eyed once again – I almost cried during the Chicago performance of it – and I sang along, just like he wanted, as loud as I could. I was like, screaming it almost with him, and of course, waved my hand when he asked, and did the “wo oh” part with him, and when the band was finished and everything. He, once again, looked a little water-eyed as well, and that almost started the tear factory, but I held it all back. When he was done, and threw all the picks out and everything, he ended up picking up that bra I mentioned before, throwing it over his back and walking away. It was hilarious. XD

And, that was the show. After the show, I ran to the stage, and asked for a setlist. The Neal’s was given to somebody else, and I asked for a setlist from this kid that was helping out and he told me “no” and I was like, “fuck you” (in my head), but then one of the stage crew came around, and I was asking him, and so was Allison, so he was reaching out to give the setlist to like, Allison and some other girl was reaching for it, and I was like “FUCK IT” and just reached as far as I could for it and grabbed it. It was David setlist. So, people took pictures, and I held on to it, and then a lady came by with some picks and threw them out. One of them was David’s, and she threw it in my general direction ‘cause I was asking for it, but the guy a little to my right and behind me caught it. So, I turned to her and yelled “I didn’t get it!” and she threw another one at me, and I grabbed it off the ground where it landed right in front of me, and it was Neal’s pick. So, David’s setlist and Neal’s pick were my prizes for the night. We did wait a while to see if David would come out, but he did. Though, I was okay with that – the show was fucking amazing, and most likely, one of the best I’ve ever been to. Even GRO – Green River Ordinance was fucking awesome, and I usually never like the opening band. So, that was a great plus the guitarist, Jamey, is hot, so yay! XD

sorry i haven't updated lately. just didn't feel like it, even though some crazy ass shit went down at the brewer's game on tuesday. but, the night got better after drinking some mike's hard, while watching star trek tos. :)

tomorrow is dc in chicago. i'm so pumped! it has been over four months since i last saw him, so i'm really excited about tomorrow. i have to check, but i'm pretty positive that the house of blues doesn't allow cameras, so no pictures. :( sorry guys. i'll make sure to get some at the show in wisconsin and in iowa next week.

so yeah. won't be sleeping much tonight. lol. we're leaving early, like eightish, and probably won't be back till around midnight or so. driving there and back. no hotel this time. don't have the money for it. :( hopefully, we don't die. D:

here is, guys! my tour report! it is long, and I didn't read it over. so, that's your warning! if you do read, I hope you enjoy. :]

As most of you know, this show had been sold out before I could even get tickets. So, you can imagine the shock – though, I did blog about it that day – when I got the email from a guy at the University of Green Bay saying that on Friday at 10am, they were going to sell more tickets. And, sell more they did – two going straight into my hands.

Allison and I hit the road at six in the morning – had to be there early – and, surprisingly, it wasn’t too bad, but I’m assuming that’s because we left before rush hour, which is what I wanted. The drive was an easy one, and on the way up we listened to some 3Oh!3, Queen, and of course, Mr. David Cook. We also made a video blog while driving, along with a few others throughout the day (Allison is going to post them on YouTube).

So, we arrived at the University around 8:00ish, and went up the Ticketing and Information Center where they were selling the tickets, and got a number. Number 5 (later one we found out it was actually number 3 because they started with number 3). We had two hours to kill, so we sat around and talked, walked around, and looked at the large bookstore they have. It was nerve wracking, and I kept hearing them saying – at the counter – that it was going to be insane and that they had people doing the phones in the back. So, I’m freaking out, telling Allison that she is going to call right at like 10 while I’m in line just in case. But, then I was put on one of the three registers, and they got started. By the end of it, was in row GG seats 103 and 104; center section in the back, but I couldn’t give a shit – I had tickets. I HAD TICKETS TO A DAVID COOK SHOW THAT HAD ORIGINALLY BEEN SOLD OUT. So really, being in the back didn’t bug me at one bit. I was going to see him and BoUH; that’s all that fucking matter.

After that, we went back to the car and on the way there we saw the tour bus parked there and were like “they’re already here!?”, so we went to the car, sat in there for a while (blogged), and pop backed out to see if anything was happening outside. Nothing, but I kind of figured since it was early and I somebody had said something about him wanting to go to Lambeau, so we went back in the car. I took a quick nap, and at about 1:30pm, we got back out (with our signs), and went to the bathroom, and saw some two other women there. And, the Wiedner center was open in the back, so we went in there with two woman and started talking to them. They were really nice – Becky, and Gina were their names, I believe. And, we sat in there for a while before we got kicked out – they had to put the building on lockdown. So, we went outside by the buses, and waited. Then, we got kicked out from that area – it was a ‘secure area’, but there was like, no security there just some girl from the school telling us that we needed to get out of the area. So, we went to the corner and stood there, watching the bus. Then, this van starts coming toward us, and the guy driving rolls down his window and waves, saying “hey” or something. We’re like, “. . .hi?” and I had this weird feeling they are in that van. And, what do you know? They go by the bus, park and bam! There’s Andy, and then Neal. I was like, “really?” I didn’t see Kyle, Joey, or David come out, but they obviously did at one point.

But anyway, we stood at this corner watching them for a while with some other women and girls who had joined – we had ten people by the end of this, I think – before moving up a little closer to the buses. And, a little closer, and we were like, twenty or so feet away before we finally gave up; nobody was going to come over and do/say anything. But, before that we saw Neal and three of the girls called out his name, so he turned and waved at us, along with Kyle and Joey (we called their names, too). But, after that, we all gave up and left because it had been about three hours and we were all fucking cold (seriously, worse than Dir en grey in November, no joke). So, in the car, Allison and I decided to go to dinner (we ended up at Subway).

After dinner, we came back to the school at like 6:15pm, and waited for about forty-five minutes before going to the front doors since they had told us they were opening up at 7pm. But, they didn’t open until 7:30pm, which was okay. Though, before I go on, I got a story to tell. There was this car, an orange car, that at like 3pm was circling around the campus, passing the group we were in like, a million times. It was really weird, and when we got back, and went to the doors, we noticed that car was still going around. It was really creepy at this point, so when some girl who was working at the box office knocked on the doors to get in, we told a security guy about it, who told another one, who called campus safety or whatever. I found out later they ended up catching the car, so that was good. But anyway, back to the concert story!

So, at 7:30pm we were let in, and Allison and I went straight to the merch table. I ended up buying the tour shirt (of course!), the sweater (which is made out of the same material as my Dir en grey sweater, and that thing is warm), and the red/maroon wristband. I wanted to buy the black shirt, but decided against it because I didn’t want to go crazy and spend all this money because, one I didn’t have it, and I need to save my money a little bit. So, I got those items – and, I’m happy with them – and waited for Allison before we went to coat check. We were going to check in our coats, but then found out we didn’t need to, so we didn’t because we wanted to quick get out and maybe get Cook’s autograph/picture/whatever. So, we just went to the doors where we needed to get in and waited.

They opened the doors at 8:30pm and it was like a mad house to get in. Of course, I’m like “really?” since it is seating, so isn’t like we aren’t going to get our seats. But anyway, we got in, took a seat and waited. At 9pm, the lights dimmed, and out comes Ryan Starr. Of course, I just want Cook to come out, but Ryan was actually really good. I liked him. I’ll probably end up getting his CD in fact, but yeah, he was pretty sweet, and his set went surprisingly fast. By like, 9:40pm, he was done and the set up for Cook began. And, at 10, it finally happened – David Cook & BoUH came out.

Highlights:

- opening with Kiss on the Neck? FUCKING AWESOME. Seriously, great way to start a concert, in my opinion.
- Mr. Sensitive; what a shocker. Seriously, I don’t recall him playing this at other shows (I could be mistaken), so it was really awesome that he played it. Just, fantastic.
- There was some awesome banter here. He tells us that he went to Lambeau Field, and says something along the lines of “I’m a Kansas City Chiefs fan, BUT, before you boo” and he goes on saying that he saw all the Lombardi trophies, along with the first one in which we beat the Kansas City Chiefs. We cheer, and he goes “shows over, goodnight!” and turns to leave. I just laughed ‘cause I knew he wasn’t going to leave, and he didn’t – he just turned back around and goes, “I’m kidding. It was a joke.” It was funny. XD
- My Last Request; I had really thought we were going to get Breathe Tonight because he had been playing that, but we got this instead, which is totally okay with me. Sure, it isn’t my favorite of the two, but I loved that we got something different, you know? So, it was nice little change, and I totally loved it.
- We’re Only Honest When We’re Sleeping; first off, title reminds of something Panic at the Disco would name a song, but anyway. I was really stocked to get a song pre-idol, and unreleased? That’s even cooler. And, I hadn’t heard the song before. I know that a lot of people downloaded, but I didn’t, and well, I totally should now. I really loved the song, and it was really sweet. I’m hoping it like, comes out on his next album or something. But, after he was done with the song he goes, “This the second time I’ve performed that song (he must like Wisconsin, ‘cause the first time he performed it was in Eau Claire), and wow, I wrote that song like three, four years ago, and now I’m playing it in Green Bay. Who would of thought?”
- Lie; best performance of the night. Seriously, this kicked major ass. So, when he started playing this song, I almost started crying. All the emotions going on thoughout the day, and then this? It was like, reality finally hit me – I was there. I was seeing David Cook, and BoUH. But, that’s not the best part; when the song started, people got their cellphones out and started waving them back and forth, and right when he finished the first verse or was close to, he stops, crosses his arms and looks out into the crowd. People were like, putting their cellphones away, and he’s like “no, no, this is awesome. Everyone, get those cellphones out, and start doing that. Turn off the stage lights, turn off the house lights; we’re gonna start over”, and they did as we all waved our cellphones back and forth to the verse before putting them away when it got to the ‘harder’ part of the song. It was like, fucking amazing. Seriously, I can’t describe it.
- Hot for Teacher; Cook starts off saying “I played this song in Bolix, Mississippi” – people scream – “glad where two of you know where that is, and I fell on my ass. Hope I don’t do it again. And, here’s Kyle Peek.” And, they start the song. During it, when Neal has that amazing solo, David looks to him, and looks to us, and goes “are you seeing this shit?” and I’m like, “whoa, he just swear, and go Neal!” XD
- After Light On - we sang the chorus, of course – they got off stage, and we all just stood there, clapping, and screaming for him, and after a few moments, I see somebody on stage, and all of the sudden, blue light up drumsticks are pounding on drums, and they are back with Bar-ba-sol.
- After Bar-ba-sol, he begins to introduce the band, starting with Andy, and then Joey (Jazzercise! XD), Kyle, and then ‘the Doctor’, and I guess (because I didn’t hear him), he began to introduce himself, but Kyle’s like “no, no, I’l do it. I wanna do it.” And, in a cute little weird voice he goes, “and introducing, David Cook.” Of course, we all scream and shout, and Cook says something about having to ask to be introduced, and then says “you’re fired”.
- A Daily AntheM was the last song, and he said we can “help him sing along”, and of course, we did. We all sang along, and, by the end of it when the “oh-oh-oh” part comes on, we were all swinging an arm back and forth with him, and singing, and then the band stops and he goes, “one more time”, and has us doing it by ourselves without the band before the show finally comes to an end.

Allison and I quickly booked it out of there, and I said, “let’s go out the back”, and so we do, and Allison bolts to the little barricade that they have, and I quickly follow. So, we get out there, and we’re waiting about a couple a minutes before something happens. I dropped my marker, first off, and then there is screaming and I bound up to see Andy with a camera, and David right behind him, and I’m like, internally freaking out because, I haven’t been that close to David ever like, it was crazy! And so, he goes on the bus and Neal comes out to stand and smoke by the building. Of course, people are like “Neal! Doctor!” and yelling at him, but then they start chanting – I did too – “doctor, doctor”, and he totally gets into it and starts moving his fist with the beat and being all damned adorable. But, he didn’t come over, even though some body was like (I think) “can you sign this for my mom?”. But anyway, Joey came out too, and Andy once again, but then, David came out again, and I’m like “omfg, this is it!” The guy, who ever he was their tour manager or whatever, says “okay, we’re going to do this quickly because David is feeling under the weather”, and I was like “huh?” ‘cause he didn’t sound like he was or anything (but then, when he was by us he was saying he was starting to feel a little sick, and was happy to be having a day off on Sunday). But anyway, even though our group was there first, he heads over to the other group and starts taking pictures and hugs and signs stuff, and I’m getting really nervous. I just want an autograph at this point because, really, it’s all I need. It would make the day even better than it was, and finally, he makes his way over, and I’m star struck. I completely forget I’m going to ask him for a hug, and he takes my ticket and signs it before taking a picture with some people, and I’m like “I NEED ONE”, and I get up the courage to ask for one. He goes “yeah”, and I’m like, “holy heck!” (not out loud). But, then he starts getting things shoved in his face and I’m like “omfg!” (again, not out loud) but then, as I’m about to say something, he’s like “where do I look?” and I point to Allison, who is getting her iPhone ready and he’s all like “tell me when you’re ready,” and signs her thing, and we get ready and then she takes the picture, and he’s pulled over to some other chick (the order of those two events, I don’t remember, so it could have been the other way around? Seriously, this is what David Cook does to you. XD lol). But, before all this, you know that little barricade I mentioned? Well, it was plastic little thingy, and people were starting to get a little rowdy and push on it and Cook goes, “you guys, be careful”, and I accidently hit it with my bag/purse and I said, “sorry,” or something and he goes, “no, no, that’s okay, I just don’t want it to fall.” So yeah, I had a conversation with David Cook, people! It was like, ten seconds, but still! I talked to him! XD

Anyway, after that, he left and I realized I forgot to ask for my hug, but I was like, “WHATEVER!” ‘cause I got him to sign my ticket, and get my picture with him. Seriously, those three hours out in the cold, even though nothing happened, it really doesn’t matter because, in the end, it happened. I got the picture, the autograph, and most importantly, I got to see him perform with his band.

Best night of my life, guys. I’m not kidding. I feel very blessed that what happened, happened. So, thank you God for giving me this opportunity, and thank you David, Neal, Andy, Kyle, and Joey for one amazing show. You guys rock. ♥ ♥

2009.01.19 ;; The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus feat. The Becoming & Tickle Me Pink ;; The Rave (Mil., WI)

So, here is my concert report of the RJA show. It's long, and I didn't look over it. Just typed it up. hm, what else? oh! there are pretty pictures to look at if you don't want to read it. :] you can see my new hair if you look at the pictures too! hehe. ^^

Our journey began around three-thirty. After picking up Brett from Starbucks (he was hanging out with one of his other friends before the show), we made our way towards the Rave, of course, listening to The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus the whole way there. We arrived a little bit after four, and we went inside the venue to make sure that the time we were suppose to be there was quarter to five, but when we asked, they said five. I was a little bit confused, but didn’t pay too much attention to it and we began to look at the upcoming shows they were having, like The Killers and Fall Out Boy (we’re thinking about going to this show) when Brett’s like “I have to go to the bathroom” and I’m like, “well, ask the person if you can use the ones in here and where they are of if you have to leave”. But of course, he’s kind of scared to do it and so I go up with him and begin to ask, not noticing that the girl was on the phone because where I was looking, I was looking around a corner and there was like a sign advertising something on the window. So, I didn’t see that she was on the phone. I apologized quickly, but she gave me this really bitchy look, so I kind of just walked away and didn’t say anything. Then, when Brett asked, she was all like “you aren’t even supposed to be in here” and I was like, “whatever,” so we went to McDonalds (ah, good times, good times. XD). In McDonalds we used the bathrooms and took a few pictures before the show (all the pictures, including the concert ones, were taken by my good friend Becky) –

At about quarter to five (because I wanted to make sure we were a little earlier since that’s what time they had told us when they called to tell us we won) we headed back and this security guy was like “gotta line up at these doors” and we said we were here for that meet and greet thing. He kind of looked around and said that the van for the radio station was down there unloading stuff, and to ask them. So, we headed down there only to realize that the merch was being unloaded down there, but we saw the van, though it was just kind of, chillin’ there. And, when it backed up and went into the Rave parking lot, we quickly trekked back up there and told the guy that those people unloading were the merch people. He told us go inside, and when we got in there, another worker was like “what are you doing?” and we told them we were for the party. They’re like, “okay, stand here” and about ten minutes later, a guy from the station was coming around, and grabbing our names. And five minutes after that, we were going in this little room to meet the band. Though, the band wasn’t there right away. We actually sat down at this small, round table and got our pizza before the band joined us. The first one we saw was the drummer, Jon, because he said something and Becky and I turned toward him (Allison and Brett were getting us waters, which were like, three dollars and fifty cents a piece!). Becky waved and I kind of nodded toward him in greeting before going back to our pizza and eating. A few minutes later, the band was in the front of the room, eating and then they started talking about the new album and told us what song we were going to listen to. We listened to that one before they let us pick the last three, and while we ate, we listened. They all sounded really good, so I’m really excited for their new album. But anyway, after that they told us to come up and they’d sign some of the posters that they had for us or whatever else we wanted them to sign. So, we went up there and got in line.

Ronnie, the singer, was our first stop, and when we got up to him, he asked us if we were all friends and we answered yes before I said that the new album sounds awesome, and that, when I heard they were coming out with the new album, I got really stoked. He thought that was great, and he can’t wait till it is released, but he’s kind of sick of it because he’s like, listened to it so many times. Haha. XD After that, Becky and I took a picture with him before Allison and Brett did. Their pictures ended up funny because Ronnie is looking toward Becky while the two of them our looking toward me. I didn’t realize Becky was taking the picture, but oh well! D: Anyway, after that Becky and I moved toward the three that were sitting at the table – Duke, the guitarist, Mike, the fill-in guitarist for the guy who left the band, and Jon, the drummer. We had them sign our poster and then we just took a picture with all three of them. Well, it was Becky and I and then Allison and Brett again, before we moved on to the final member, Joey, the bassist. I swear, he might have been a little high, but that was okay. He was still nice, and signed our stuff before taking a picture with us. The first picture he took with us, he had his head bent so we had to take another, but that was okay. He was fine with it. And then, Allison and Brett took one with him. We were going to switch and having Brett and I together in a picture or two, but that obviously didn’t end up happening. Anyway, after that, we took a few pictures of us before heading out of there and down to the basement where the show was. Here are the pictures of us at the meet and greet –

When we got down there, we got up in the front row right on the right side (so, stage left?), and placed our coats over the barricade. We got all situated before Brett and I went to look at merch, and finding out prices before heading back over. We told Becky and Allison what they had, and then Becky, Brett and I headed back to buy our stuff. Brett and I ended up buying the black shirt that had the CD cover on it, while Becky bought the one that said “The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus” on it and shiny, silver angel wings on the back. And, I bought Allison their CD as her Christmas gift, and with our purchase they gave us smaller versions of the poster that we got signed (I tucked those in my purse and surrounded them with gloves and hats. XD), and CDs that had their two newest singles, You Better Pray and Pen and Paper on it. Then, we headed back over to our spots and waited for the concert to begin.

The first band up was The Becoming. I thought, “oh great, they’re gonna be sreamo”, but surprisingly, they weren’t. Actually, I don’t think the singer screamed once during the set, but I could be completely wrong. They actually sounded pretty awesome, but I was a little disturbed when the guitarist ended up licking the neck of his guitar (and he did this about three times). O-o It was weird. But anyway, during one of their songs, the sound went out, and by that I mean everything – guitars, bass, keyboard, drum mics and the singers mic. It was crazy. The singer’s just like “maybe we rocked a little too hard” and they began to kind of fuddle around with it and wait a little before they kind of just were like “whatever” and sat down in the front of the stage. The guitarist talked to the girls right next to me, and I just listened silently while they did. After about maybe, five-seven minutes, they got sound back and finished up there set.

Then, it was time for Tickle Me Pink. They were, so-so. I liked some of their songs, like Madeline (though, it was about finding some girls body at the edge of a river because she committed suicide and about not saying goodbye), and some of their other stuff. But, the other stuff was like, screaming and I didn’t like it when the singer screamed. It didn’t sound too good. :/ But, other than that, they were good. The singer like to swear a lot, which was kind of amusing, but nothing to major. Oh, the singer also played the bass, which I thought was pretty cool, and strange at the same time. But, then I found out he was doing it ‘cause their bassist had died and then I was all sad. :[ But yeah, they were okay.

Then, finally, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. Now, before I get to their actually set and everything, I want to talk about the crowd. It was okay during The Becoming. Nobody was really pushing or anything, but by the time Tickle Me Pink got on stage, people starting pushing and moshing. This one girl, who ended up right behind me was like, grabbing on to the barricade, but as she was attempting to do that, she was also grabbing on to me and scratching at me a little bit. Then, when she finally got a hold of the bar, she was being pushed a direction in which her arm was being pressed against my side. It was a little insane, but when RJA (Red Jumpsuit Apparatus) came on, it was like, fucked up. Everybody was pushing and shoving and I was like, “really?” because I so did not expect moshing at this concert. But, I got it.

Anyway, the setlist for the concert. It probably isn’t exactly in the order it was played, but I’m positive about what they played. So, this is it –

Anyway, the only things I’m sure about on the setlist; Your Guardian Angel was played straight after Cat and Mouse, In Fate’s Hands started off the show and Grim Goodbye ended it. Now, as the for the show it self – awesome. They are a fantastic band live. I really enjoyed them immensely. They really got the crowd going, and everyone was really into it. Maybe a little bit too much since the moshing was, like I said, fucking insane, but it was a good show. They were good a great band. Most memorable moments?

- Cat and Mouse; behind Face Down, this is my favorite song by them. And, it was awesome because it was just Ronnie singing and Duke on piano. The CD version has a little drum in it, but they left that out and just had the piano, making it sound even better than the original version. And, everybody was singing – it was great
- Face Down; okay, you knew this was coming since well, it is like, everybody’s favorite song and I think the whole entire world must know it. And, if they don’t, they should. The songs message is a powerful one, and it is just a great song in general. It was the song that got me into them, so it holds a special place in my heart, and it still one of my favorite songs ever.
- Damn Regret; another great song that I really enjoy on the CD and it was even better live. It is a fun song, and I totally enjoy it either live or on the CD.
- During one of the songs, either In Fate’s Hands or False Pretense, Ronnie had one of half of the crowd sing and then the other half sing, before saying which side was louder, and well, we were. XD He just pointed to us, and that’s how I knew we were the better side. :D
- A girl getting dropped onto the ground. Sure, that isn’t a good thing to remember, but I felt so bad for the poor girl. No security was there because they were all helping some other chick, and the people who were helping her over just let her like, drop. It was fucking disgusting, and then I guess they even laughed and I was like, “really, people?! She could have like, busted her back or her face, that isn’t funny!” it was basically the worst thing I’ve seen happen at a concert before.

So yeah, the show was pretty fantastic, and Becky’s pictures are pretty great too.

So, all in all, the show was really great. I really wanna see the guys again. They were awesome. XD Hopefully, when they tour again for their new album, they’ll come back to Milwaukee. :]

here is my concert report, kiddes! it is pretty damn long (9 pages in WORD. o-o) and I didn't read it over. So, there will be mistakes and there is fangirling. you have been warned.

So, the trip started off on Tuesday night at seven o'clock. That's when mom and I hit the road for Grand Rapids and on our way up there, we listened to a little bit of Analog Heart and a little bit of the Cookleta mix CD I have. It was pretty cool since mom knew a good number of the songs Cook did on the show, so yay! XD Anyway, we finally got to Grand Rapids at around one-thirty in the morning (in Wisconsin, it would have been twelve-thirty in the morning) and checked into the hotel. After checking in, we basically crashed.

The next day, the day of the concert, we got up at like, seven-thirty since I couldn't really sleep anyway 'cause I was so excited and everything. Well, we ended up leaving the hotel around nine-thirty or so and arrived at the venue around ten to ten. Nobody was really there, only like, three people and so mom said we should walk around, and I was too nervous to. But, we did end up walking around the venue at least before going over to this fence thing. And, yeah, it was fence, not a barricade. O-o It sucked 'cause we got moved like, three times before we finally settled on a spot and there, I began my long wait with my with my poster in my hand, but it was cool because soon after I started standing tehre, I began talking to this really awesome girl. She liked David more, but she was a Cook fan too. There were some other girls there who were like, David fans and OH GOD were they ridiculous. Seriously, their voices were like high and they were all like "OMG" you know? I was like, seriously annoyed by them, but I didn't pay attention to them too much 'cause I was talking to this other girl, who was awesome. We had some good conversations and everything. Then, we found out the buses wouldn't be arrived until two and I was like, "okay, this is awesome" 'cause I had already been there for a good three hours or so and mom was already getting tired and a little cranky about it. So yeah, we had to wait a little longer and but, finally, two arrived and the buses arrived with it. Now, I thought I saw Johns in the front seat of the boys bus, but I'm guessing that wasn't him AND I thought I saw Cook, but then that wasn't him 'cause the girls (the annoying ones) told me that Cook was in Chicago and I couldn't believe it! I was like "no way" and thought that maybe they had heard their info wrong and plus, where did they get it, I wasn't sure. So, I was really confused. But, anyway, the first to get off the boy's bus (that we saw) was David and all the people (which was like maybe a hundred or so?) started screaming and got excited. Then, Brooke and Kristy Lee were to follow and Chikezie got off a little later and that's all I saw get off for a while (Michael Johns got off a little while later). Anyway, David quick popped in the venue before popping back out to sign stuff. Then, Kristy Lee, Brooke and a little while later Chikezie came out. [x] [x]

David came out first and started at the other end, which wasn't too far away from where I was, but kind of at the same time, it was a little way. Anyway, he started off and then Kristy Lee came out pretty quickly after him and started out on the opposite end of him, closest to me. And, she was pretty quick so within like, ten minutes, not even, she was by us and I had her sign my poster and then asked for a picture. She took the picture with me and I thanked her and she moved on.

By this point, Brooke had also come out and David had moved a little farther, but not too much because you know how he spends a good amount of time with each person. Anyway, Brooke came around and because she seemed so nice and so personable, I decided to ask her if she knew about Cook's whereabouts. Really, I'm not that keen on asking other idols about where others are or if they are going to come out, but I really wanted to know since I had the bracelet I made for Cook and if he was not there, I wanted to give it to another idol to give to him if they could. So, anyway, Brooke made her way over to us and as she went to sign my poster I asked, "So, is Cook in Chicago or something?" and she's like, stops signing and looks at me all confused. "What about Cook?"</a> and she went on to say she hadn't seen him since last night's show and stuff, so she wasn't sure if he was or not. And, she was really nice about answering it and then I asked for a picture and she was so cool about it. Then, before she moved on, I asked about the Green Bay show and she said it was good. So, that was cool. :)

Then, finally, David arrives! Well, kind of. First, he had to go by those annoying girls I mentioned before and those girls had already gotten a hug. Yeah, they moved over to where he had started, snuck in and got a hug from him before coming back over. Of course, he hits them before me and they start talking to him or whatever and ask him about his family in Florida and stuff and he explains that they are okay right now and stuff. Then, finally, he turns to me and since Brooke didn't really know about Cook, I figured he might know something since, you know, they are ~~so totally boyfriends~~ on the same bus. So, just ask I go to ask, they say something else and whatever. I do this like, three or four times, every time these girls cutting in to say something. Of course, I'm nervous as fuck to ask the kid this and they just make it worse by interrupting me. But, finally, I get to say something and I say something like "I made these for you and Cook, do you know if Cook is here or is coming out?" and he looked up to me (he had finished signing my poster at this point) a little confused, so I said it again. He was like, "I don't know" and I said, "well, could you give this to him for me then?" and he was like, all torn about. He had said sure (and, I believe a thank you for his own bracelet), but then he was kind of like, "well, are you going to be here later" and I wasn't too sure if I was going to try and get stuff signed after the show. I told him that "yeah, maybe" and he said, ""I'll give it to him. Well, how about you keep it and give it to him" or something like that and then he gave it back (and, I still have it, so I'll have to send it to him or something). Then, I asked for a picture and I got one and then he talked to us about how Cook was in Chicago for Oprah and the Olympics. He was a really sweet kid and I felt totally weird and horrible about the bracelet thing 'cause he looked so torn about it, but he was still really nice and everything. It was cute. ^^ Then, as he was walking down the fence, I noticed that he didn't have my bracelet in his hand and I'm like, "what the heck?" 'cause he had the girl's necklace that she gave him in that hand where he had my bracelet. So, I look down and notice it is on the ground and I debate for like, two seconds if I should call out to him and I do. Of course, I'm nervous as fuck and he turns to me and goes "huh?" and I'm like, you dropped something. He looks down and can't spot it so I'm like, "by your left (it was really his right. >___<) foot" and he looks for a second more before spotting. He's like "Oh gosh (or something like that)! Sorry!" and he bends over to pick it up. I smile softly and say "that's okay, no problem." And that, my friends, was my David encounter. ROFL. XD

After David, Chikezie came by and he signed my poster and I asked for a picture. Well, mom took the picture but she took the camera down too fast and it didn't take the picture (the picture ended up being my legs and purse). Chikezie noticed and said "the flash went off after you took the camera down" and my mom was like "oh" and then took another picture of us as she said something like "I'd be in trouble for that" and he kind of laughed and said "yeah" or something. I, of course, thanked him and thought it was really nice of him for noticing about the camera because in reality, he could have just walked off without saying anything, you know? He was really sweet. ^^

After that, we left and went back to the hotel for a while where we each took a quick nap and then went to dinner at Arby's. At around five-thirty, we headed back to the venue 'cause the doors were going to open at like, six and got to the venue at about that time. We entered the arena, and right away, there was a girl selling programs. Of course, I knew I was going to get one, so I asked how much and found out it was twenty-five bucks. Okay, that's pricey to me, but I still bought one and then I went to buy a shirt. I was torn between the Cook one and the group one, but in the end, I got the group one, which is pretty sweet 'cause it has the tour stops and their names on the back in a circle.

Then, we were shown to our seats which were closer then I had expected. I mean, I knew they wouldn't be like, right up there, but they were pretty damn close if you ask me. Seriously, if I would have lost those tickets (I almost did for those of you who don't know 'cause I was trying to get closer and all this shit happened, but I got them), I would have beaten myself up FOREVER. But yeah, as we waited for the show to start, they showed Cook's and David's Guitar Hero commercials, a few music videos, and Cook's Disney World commercial along with a few other things. Then, finally, the show started (because of the amount of pictures, links to the pictures are next to them) –

He was amazing! Seriously, not a fan of him on the show and really wasn't too keen on seeing him at first, but after meeting him that morning, I was kind of excited. And, when he finally started, he was pretty damn awesome. I don't remember the songs he did, but I know he did Caught Up by Usher, which was awesome. Plus, he was really personable on stage, had a great stage persona, which is why his performance kept my attention.

Ramiele [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x]
Seriously, boring as fuck and that isn't a joke. She has a voice, don't get me wrong, but NO personality what-so-ever. Of course she talked to the crowd, thanked us and Pop-Tarts, but other than that, there was nothing there to keep your attention really. So yeah, she wasn't too enjoyable and I really didn't know ANY of her songs either. >_____<

Michael Johns [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x]
The moment Ramiele was done, I was starting to freak out a little 'cause I knew that he was coming and he came out with We Will Rock You and then, went into We Are The Champions just like he did during Top 10 week and he did awesome. It was a great performance that had most of the people, if not everyone, singing along. Then, he went onto "slow it down a bit" as he said (well, they all said this when they had a slow song) and did It's All Wrong, But It's All Right which was good, but since I really don't like the song, it kind of lost my interest a little bit, but none the less, an amazing performance. His last song was Dream On and before he started he said "well, this is the song that got me booted off the show (a loud cry of like "aw, or boo (for him getting kicked off)" went down). Randy said he didn't like it and, well, he isn't here, so I don't care" and the crowd just erupted in cries before he started it. Again, another amazing performance by Michael Johns. Seriously, it makes me wonder how the heck he got kicked off so early. Seriously, how?

Kristy Lee [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x]
A little better then Ramiele, but not by much. Though, I never really liked her at all and it didn't change much after her performance. But, her rendition of God Bless The USA was very moving and very powerful. That was pretty great, but other than that, nothing really amazing to me.

Carly [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x]
Amazing set. Seriously, I loved her rendition of Bring Me To Life. It was very different, but very awesome and very powerful. The set design was pretty awesome too. Then, she did Crazy On You which was, again, another brilliant performance, but I really loved her I Drove All Night rendition. I really enjoy that song so much and I think she did an amazing job and made her own. She is really a great performer. Love her. ♥

Brooke [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] [x]
I never was a Brooke fan until I met her outside that morning because she was SO sweet. I couldn't believe how sweet she was and that made me really like her as a person, and then hearing her live was so much better then on the show. Definitely one you have to hear live to actually like, you know what I'm saying? Though, I really wish she didn't play an instrument every time she performed. :( She played piano for Let it Be then she did the guitar for 1234 and then she did piano again for her last song, which I cannot for the life of me remember. >____< But yeah, other then that, she was really good. I loved when she performed 1234 'cause she just radiated a really awesome energy that had people going, you know? So yeah, totally a Brooke fan now. ^^

After Brooke's set was done, she started talking about the 'Idols Gives Back' week and everything before the bottom six started coming out and did a group song, Pride (In The Name Of Love). So, that included Chikezie, Ramiele, Michael, Kristy Lee, Carly and Brooke. It was really hilarious 'cause the host (who was some guy from like, Pop-Tarts or something. o-o) said "the biggest Pop-Tart I know besides strawberry and blueberry, Michael Johns" to introduce him. It got a good laugh out of the crowd and out of Johns, which was pretty sweet. XD The overall performance of the song was great and the song was really fitting, in my opinion to what they were trying to portray and the little duet between Michael and Carly; awesomeness. After that performance, they had like a little intermission in which they had two guys playing Guitar Hero against each other and then they picked two kids from the audience to have like an air guitar competition. It was pretty funny since the one kid didn't have a clue at what he was doing and his headbanging consisted of moving his head a little to the side and then the other, kind of like the robot. It was funny. rofl. Then, the two got games and each one of them didn't have the set to the play the game, so the host guy is like, "you know what that means? Mom go to Target after this and get those game sets for them! They deserve it!" or whatever before they showed the commercial the idols did for that World Tour game that is coming out. It was pretty weird, let me tell you, since they all looked pretty messed up 'cause it is suppose to be from the seventies and everything. Seriously, I couldn't help but cringe at Cook 'cause that wig they had him wearing was SO horrible. D: And, our little David didn't look too much better either. ;_____;

Anyway, finally intermission was over and the show started back up again:

Always one of my favorites on the show, but I realized that, even though I still like him, his stuff all sounds the same. :/ He played Over the Rainbow (which, he played the ukulele and that was pretty sweet) , Crazy and Daydreamer and they didn't sound to different from one another. I think he has a great voice, but I think his arrangements of the songs sound to similar to one another, you know? But, he was pretty awesome and I really did like seeing him live.

Oh my gosh, blew me the fuck away! Seriously, hated this girl on the show as well, but holy hell! She is one hell of a singer. I couldn't believe it! Took me away! I was just, in awe of her during her entire set. The last song, which I don't know the title for, just took me away. I couldn't believe it and the song got her a standing ovation from the ENTIRE audience. Seriously, amazing performance by this girl. Much love to her.

Of course, everyone (including myself) starts spazzing out and getting really excited as he wait for him to come on the stage. He comes from the ground since he is the piano and he starts out with Angels and by god was it beautiful. Probably my favorite song he did on the show and I listen to the studio version of it constantly, but it does not compare to this live version. Seriously, SO MUCH BETTER live. Heck, in general the boy sounds better live. After his rendition of Angels, he did Apologize and, personally, I hate that song 'cause it is so overplayed on the radio and all, but of course, this kid sings it and I seriously love it. He really got into the performance and it was awesome to see. After that song, he takes a break and thanks everybody for coming and all that snazzy stuff before he says the next song is for all of us, and it is Stand By Me. Great song and again, great performance by the boy. It was pretty cool because at one point, he speeds it up and starts getting into it and slapping his leg as he's singing and it was pretty adorable. It had me smiling like an idiot, let me tell you. XD Then, after that performance, he does another little MC and talks about how we should always tell people we love them 'cause we never know what will happen before he goes on to sing When You Say You Love Me. Personally, I've never head of the song in my life, but it was a very beautiful song and David really got into it. It was very moving watching him perform. Seriously, once he opens his mouth, you can't look away from him. He is so stunning and so beautiful. Well, after that performance he starts to introduce the next guy. "This guy is awesome and well, a lot of other things" and the rest was lost 'cause I started spazzing the fuck out. XD

The whole venue starts erupting in cheers as the screen does it's whole count down thing and, finally, it shows Cook and then he comes up from the ground with his guitar and oh my gosh. I don't know how to describe in words how GORGEOUS this man is. Seriously, after he came up from the ground, my eyes did not leave him for like A SECOND the rest of the show. He is just THAT FUCKING GORGEOUS. Seriously. But, anyway, back to his performance. XD rofl. Well, he starts off with doing Hello and of course, I'm still on a high and don't really recall much of the performance itself, but I remember the gist of it and how he sounded SO AMAZING live. But, at the same time, I thought something was a little off. He sound fantastic, but something was different and after the song was over, he started talking and that's when I knew something was up. His voice was raw and hoarse, telling me that guy was sick and I was just like, "oh my gosh" 'cause I couldn't believe that he still sounded fucking amazing and was sick! But, anyway, he started talking and he was telling us to give it up from the band, save for Aaron (the drummer) and it was pretty funny. ^^ He always said something about how he leaned to throw picks out and he then threw out a few picks (and, he did this throughout the whole set). Then, he kind of went on and said that he was in Chicago that morning for the taping of an Oprah (to which he said "she is a very wonderful woman") and that he sang this song and he thanked us for the song, which obviously turned out to be Time of My Life. And, during the song, he got us to move our hands back and forth ('cause, you know, we'd all do anything Cook tells/shows us to do. XD) and then, when the part "keeping my wings. . ." came on, he told us all the sing and he faced the mic towards us and the whole arena sang the chorus before he took the mic back and joined in. Also, during this time, there were these like, glowing pinwheels and took one from somebody in the front row and kind of looked at it before putting it close to his face. He let it blow air onto him for a minute or so before giving it back to the person. It was pretty cute. ^^ After the song was over he got out his camera and explained to us how he was filming every crowd and after he got us more pumped up, he began filming. I don't know how much of me he'd ever see in it since there were so many people in front of me, along with some chick holding up a sign, but whatever, I tried my best to jump up and down and get noticed. But yeah, who knows. Anyway, after that filming he pointed out this sign, saying "that's, that's I think the best sign I've seen all summer, David Cook will you be my son-in-law?" and then, he did an impression of a southern that went something like "David Cook, I'd like you to meet my daughter." It made us crack up and then he goes on to say "alright, so we should probably start the next song after that awkward yelp" and they start to go into I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing. But, before he starts he goes "I still can't get over that sign" and of course, a laugh comes from the crowd before he starts the song. And, sorry to say Aerosmith, but his version totally kicks ass over yours. ROFL. I'm sorry, but I adore this song and seeing it live was pretty awesome, I must say. During the performance, he went over to the left side of the stage and everyone starts snapping pictures , you know? Well, he leans forward and takes this girls camera and snaps a picture of himself before giving it back. Of course, I'm thinking "okay, why isn't that MY camera", but I still had to smile and giggle that the antic. ^^ And then, all of the sudden, I see him pulling his belt off and throwing it to the side. Of course, this had me going "wtf?" but I continued to watch and listen to the song and sing along with him as the performance went on and when the performance was done, he goes and picks up his belt. And then says, "Can we lower the spotlight. I have a wardrobe malfunction I need to fix" and then, he starts walking towards my side of the stage and the lights are still up as he starts putting it around his waist, but then they go down and holy hell, all the cameras start going off. Of course, mom doesn't attempt to take a picture but, whatever, it probably wouldn't of turned out anyways. BUT, but, just my luck, he kind of walks back into the light after he is done getting on and just as he does, he's putting his shirt back down over his belt and I catch a glimpse of the side of his tummy and OMFG, DID I SQUEE. Seriously, I could not believe it! I had caught a glimpse of the man's side/tummy. I think I seriously had an orgasm right then and there, I swear! ROFL. No, I didn't, but seriously, I think I had a mild heart attack. XD lamo. But, anyway, after that he got his guitar and went back over to the mic. Cook went on to explain about how he and the other idols were a part of the Stand Up 2 Cancer thing and that the next song, My Hero, was dedicated to Adam and holy fuck was the performance fucking amazing! Ho man! He was like, all over the place rocking it out and everything! It was fantastic! I wanted to like, head bang and really get into it, but with the seating and such, I really couldn't (plus, nobody else was like, wanting to head bang or whatever. >___<), but it was fantastic! He actually was like, running back and forth to both sides and the middle at points. It was awesome! Then, after the song was over, he thanked us and got off the stage. Of course, I'm like "NOOO" 'cause I knew that he hadn't done Billie Jean and he ALWAYS did Billie Jean and I would like, die if I didn't see it since it was the song that made me really fall in love with the guy. So, as I'm standing there, I'm silently praying to myself he comes back out and does Billie Jean before the group number and thankfully, he comes back out, guitar in hand and the music starts for Billie Jean. And, oh my god that studio version that I listen to on repeat constantly does NOTHING for his version of that song, NOTHING. It was like, the greatest performance of the night. I think I could have like, died after seeing it and he even did the backbend thing on the ground during the solo. OH MY GOD. Seriously, dead after that, just dead. But, of course, I couldn't die since the group number was coming. XD

Started off with Chikezie talking, but you couldn't see him just yet, but then he came up and said "hey, you like my suit" and he was wearing the orange suit jacket from the show, along with a Pop-Tarts shirt (they all wore Pop-Tarts shirts save for Cook) and he counted us off before he started singing. He was joined then by Ramiele, Michael, Kristy Lee, Carly and Brooke and oh my gosh was Michael hilarious! He had a cut off brown Pop-Tarts shirt on and the way he was dancing just had me almost rolling on the floor. He was doing like, gay ass poses and dances and after Kristy Lee danced by him at one point, he kind of did the "OH GOSH" face before following her in that direction. Of course, then you've got Jason who comes out and then Syesha, David and Cook. Of course, at this point, I've pretty much lost everybody save for Cook and watch him continuously. But, I get glimpse of David, who had to be coaxed by Kristy Lee to move toward the left side of the stage, but of course, then, my eyes go directly to the right where we all know the Mavid will be occurring and, a little while later, it does. It, to me, wasn't the greatest Mavid of all time, but it was funny, none the less. They did the wheel barrel and Cook was the one who picked up Michael's feet and was pushing him around. It was kind of funny 'cause Jason had to actually moved out of the way so they could get the threw. I think the place had a good laugh at it. Then, they stood in a line before David and Cook moved the middle. The Cookleta was a little disappointing, since it was only Cook clapping for David, but it was so cute 'cause David kind of blushed before he started jumping up and down and pointing at Cook before he stopped, pointed his finger into Cook's shoulder and then grabbed Cook's jacket to show off his shirt (which was, I believe, a Fruit Loops t-shirt? O-o). Cook of course, laughs at this before the head off back to the top of the stage where they thank everyone and end the song.

After the group number, mom and I quickly move to go outside and when we get out to the fence where we were this morning, it is like PACKED. I actually get myself squeezed into a little spot against the fence, but it isn't much and there is like, a wall blocking my view of the buses, so I can't see who is going on and what's going on. But, I hear people constantly screaming after a while and I guess David had gotten on the bus, along with a few others. But then, I hear another cry of David and this time, I get myself on the fence and look over just to see Cook's head as he heads toward the buses. And, as others begin to join him, Jason comes out and since my side was crying for him the hardest, he started over by us. And, since he started earlier, he was able to take pictures for a while, so I got a ~~really shitty picture since I look like I'm on drugs~~ with him and his signature on that little paper I made mom since I didn't have my poster with me at the time.

But yeah, then David comes out and of course, starts at the way opposite end (and there are tons of fans he needs to get through), but Brooke comes out and starts on our side and I get her autograph again (you can see it next to Jason's), along with Kristy Lee who came out for a while. Then, Carly comes out and I'm hoping that I can get a picture with her, though I wasn't sure since she had to rush, so I asked and she said sorry, she couldn't and I said that's okay, I figured since you guys need to get going or whatever, so I just got her to sign that little paper. After that, David comes around and of course, people are asking for hugs left and right and I'm debating about asking for one, but since I know the kid isn't a touchy-feely kid, I decided against it and just let him sign my paper. So, I got him twice and the cool thing is, he signed two different ways! ^^ Oh, I also got a picture of Jeff Archuleta! I didn't get a picture with him, just a picture of him. rofl. XD

Anyway, after that mom and I headed back to the hotel and stayed the night before heading home the next morning.

So yeah, that's my American Idol concert experience. I have to say that it was VERY different from what I'm use to since I'm use to the no seating, people pushing and moshing against you kind of thing, but it was worth it. Seriously, seeing David Cook made my freakin' year. I can't tell you how much it meant to me to see him live. Even though I didn't get to meet him, I wouldn't trade in seeing him for the freakin' world. And, David too. Seriously, that kid is just so sweet and adorable and his voice is killer. I enjoyed myself immensely and wouldn't trade it in for anything.

Okay, well, here it goes. . .

The day started out around 8:30am or so. Both Allison’s stayed over night at my house, and Breanna came over at around that time. So, after her arrival we packed up the car and made our way toward the gas station to fill up (only had to fill up the tank a little, but it needed to be full) and then the bank before making our way towards Chicago, leaving at approximately 9:00am-ish.

The trip down wasn’t too bad. There was construction, so that did slow us down a bit and the traffic was pretty heavy, which surprised me a little, but all in all, the drive down was pretty decent and we didn’t really run into any major problems. We used Breanna’s GPS system to get down there (omg, was it nice. *___*), which made the trip down (and back up) SO much easier.

So, we arrived in Chicago at about, gosh between 11:30am and noon and at first, we were like, “where the hell do we park?” so we dropped off Breanna and Allison B and they got into the line while we called the venue and asked where we could park. They told us there was a bank behind the venue and we could park there, so we (Allison and I) go to park there and I notice that there is a sign that unauthorized vehicles will be towed. I parked and we were like, this should be okay, but of course, I’m thinking it is, though I kept the car parked there. We got out, put all the shit in the trunk and made our way to the venue. When we got there, we noticed Allison B and Breanna were about 15 down in the line, which was totally fine, so we got by them and then we started talking to these pretty awesome people. They were, quite frankly, beyond awesome – like, super cool. XD

Anyway, as the time goes by (with the sun, like, burning us) we continued to talk to them (Tiffany, Anna, Mary Lou and Fatisha – omg, I think that was her name. >____<) and we continued to have quite a good amount of fun in the line. At around like, 3ish or so, a woman – who I think was a complete bitch, but that is my opinion – came out and said that if we had camera’s on us, we had to take them back to our cars or wherever or we would NOT be allowed in the venue. We all had cameras, so Allison and I took everyone’s cameras back to the car and when we got there, I, still worried about being parked in the bank, decided to move the car. We found a spot a little ways down the street, so I told Allison to stand there and save it while I ran back and pulled the car in. So, I did and that was pretty much that and I saved us from maybe being stuck at a tow station for god knows how long and a fine. After that, Tiffany came around and put her camera in my car and we went back to standing in line.

Finally, 6:00pm rolled around and nothing happened. So, everyone in our little group started singing songs and trying to past the time because the stupid venue had yet to let us in. It was pretty great. We got some claps from the people in the line, too. XD Anyway, by 6:30pm they started letting us in and I guess there were letting us in by 20 and I didn’t know that and I had been holding Allison’s arm, so when I went to go, he stopped her and I was like “she is with me, she has to go” and of course, he pulls back and says “only 20, so you have to stay back”. So, both Allison’s and I had to stay back for a few minutes before we were let in and it was a mad dash up this set of stairs and waiting a few more minutes then necessary to have him check the will call thing (we couldn’t pick up our tickets earlier then when the doors open, which I said “Wtf?” to). Then, we made a made dash up the next flight and I got the venue and was like “shit. O-o” because it was so small, but then went next to Fatisha – who was standing in the second row by Yumehito (yay! that’s where I wanted to be. ^^) – and stood there while Allison went to get the goods to get the meet & greet passes for us. As I waited, I noticed that the stage was literally two feet in front of me and the baracade, which was two pieces of duck tape (seriously. -__-;;) a foot in front of me and I was like, “shit, I’m really fucking close. XD”. Anyway, then, I found out that I had to get my own merch to get the pass, so I asked Fatisha if she could hold our spot since everyone else was doing it. So, she did and I ran for my merch. I ended up with a tour shit (thank GOD because they ran out pretty damn quick of them) and two posters – one for Cindy and then one for me (I didn’t like buying them before the show because I knew they would get ruin – they did, but not like, horribly bad – but I needed to get stuff before they ran out, you know?) before making a mad dash back to my spot. I felt back to say “excuse me” and make people move for me, but they did and I thanked them kindly. Then, I found out a second later that Allison knew the person who let me back from myspace, so I made another new friend. That bitchy woman came out once more telling us if we took pictures with our camera phones or whatever, they would stop the show before FINALLY, they came out. . .

They actually ended up coming down the stairway on to the stage and when they got on, and the crowd when wild! It was fantastic! I really don’t know the setlist – sorry, I really didn’t know any of the songs. :( - but they played shine, masquerade, Cubic L/R ock, Yubisaki, TheMe, Hoshigaoka, and I’m pretty positive they played Sakura Mau Kisetsu Ni, so basically, I was a pretty happy person. ^^ Even though I don’t know the lyrics, I pretty much adore those songs (save for shine and masquerade because the only reason I know they played those is because I saw the setlist – it was like, two feet in front of me. ^^;;). I’m pretty positive they played their whole recent album and some older stuff because they had a total of 19 songs (including the encore). So yeah, it was pretty awesome. XD

Anyway, during like the ENTIRE show, Yumehito was smiling – which was FREAKIN’ adorable and it made me want to kidnap him and take him home XD – and Aoi was like, dancing and doing all these adorable things. I really couldn’t watch Intesu and Takehito because of where I was, but I saw them a few times and Intesu was smiling and being so adorable as well. All the cuteness made me go all AJSDKDKDLSDSL.

Just a few highlights, which I’m sure you’ve all seen, but once again:

[ ♥ ] yaoi moments between Yumehito and Aoi. Right in the beginning of the show, first song they did, Yumehito started moving toward Aoi and he started backing up and then Yumehito was really close and then Aoi started pushing him away and it was like, so adorable. Then, another moment was when the two of them (Intesu and Takehito did it too) went back to back and starting going up and down. At another point in the concert, Aoi wanted us to start yelling “woo woo woo” and so everyone starts doing and Yumehito is like, leaning toward us trying to hear us and Aoi comes over to stand next to him and is doing it two and they look at us, staring us down and then Aoi leaves and Yumehito is like “a little more” with his hands and points up and then we get louder and he nods in approval. Another moment is when Aoi was doing a dance, he turned to face Yumehito’s direction and Yumehito was like, staring him down and Aoi gave him this weird look before quickly turning the other way and continuing the dance. AJSKJDKDKDSKS.

[ ♥ ] Yumehito in freakin’ general. The guy is a doll, an adorable little doll that smiles all the time and can’t do anything wrong, seriously. He was a smiles at the concert and a few times I was able to catch his eye and of course, he smiles down at me and makes me like, melt into a puddle of goo. One time, I was rocking out and doing the rock symbol and he looks down at me, gives me a smile and is like, nodding and then another time, he looks down at me and smiles this big ass grin and then fucking WINKS. *_______________* I wanted to like, take him off stage right then and there and take him home with me. Another Yumehito moment was when he was making the rock symbol with all of us, that was pretty cute and then my favorite moment (other then all the other moments. LOL) was when we were doing one of Aoi’s dances where he moves his arms up and down, he looked down at us and then did it quickly and again, I was melted into a puddle of goo. SERIOUSLY, he can’t possibly do ANYTHING wrong. .______.

[ ♥ ] Aoi’s dances. First off, they were fucking adorable and made me smile like a completely buffoon (in all reality, I don’t think I stopped smiling that ENTIRE show) and it was so cool because when he would start doing one, the crowd would start doing it with him. There was like, one or two that we in general weren’t able to do because they required moving and even though we had a good amount of room to move, we didn’t have THAT much room, so we all just watched with smiles – well, I did – on our faces as he did them. All the other ones we did though, and it was so much fun. He was SO energetic and so adorable – he seriously looks SO MUCH like a girl O-o – and got the crowd so excited.

[ ♥ ] one of their MC’s. It was during the middle of the show, Aoi was talking and I think he introduced himself before he was like, “YUMEHITO” and turns to Yumehito. The crowd starts yelling and screaming and Yumehito just smiles shyly and goes to his mic. He says “Welcome to Chicago” once or twice before saying “Hello Chicago” three times, each time pausing so we can like, scream, before he goes “My name is Yumehito” and of course, the crowd is an uproar while I’m melting into a puddle of goo (once again). Then he goes, “TAKEHITO” and everyone screams and turns to him. Takehito goes to his mic and says “Hello Chicago” (I believe? O-o) and then says “My name is Takehito” and the crowd roars. Then, he says “bass INTESU” and Intesu just starts smiling and getting all shy and everything (I’m melting once again, here) and goes to the mic and says (in this high, adorable voice) “My name is Intesu” and of course, roaring and then he or Aoi, can’t really remember goes “KENZO” and everyone turns to Kenzo, but Kenzo was fixing his ear because I think he had something wrong with his ear (poor baby :(), but he didn’t say anything, so Aoi starts saying Kenzo and so we start alone with him. Sadly, he only just nodded and didn’t say anything, but it was okay. :)

[ ♥ ] end of the concert. Aoi is thanking us and such and Yumehito comes to the edge of the stage and of course, this is where the mad house begins and the posters get ruined – they had been doing fine before, save for a little bit and the one I dropped, but thankfully had quickly picked back up before being stepped on. Everyone is reaching out, including myself, TRYING to get Yumehito to touch them and I was so close and I was thinking, I’m not going to be able to get him to touch me and, what do you know, his hand ever so slaps me on mine and I’m just like, SWEET JESUS. *_______* Then, Aoi comes over and I reach out, touch his hand and then, Intesu (whose hand was huge and I like, accidentally grabbed on to) and then Kenzo and when Takehito was over, I was about to touch his hand and Yumehito distracted me by throwing the rest of his picks. Sadly, I didn’t catch one, but two of them I think landing really fucking close to me and when I went down, I couldn’t find them. :(

After the concert was over, at probably around like 8:30pm (it started at like 7:00pm-ish) everyone started getting water and lining up for the meet & greet. Allison went back in line for some buttons – she kindly bought me a set as well – and I went in line for the meet & greet. When she was done, she met me in the line, along with Fatisha and we waited patiently for them to come out. (I should mention that during the concert, Allison B and Breanna along with the others were like, in the middle and we were on the side with Fatisha and the other chick we met and when the meet & greet came around, Allison B and Breanna ended up farther up then us). When they were about to come out, that bitch annoucned that we could only get one thing signed. It kind of pissed me off since, one we had to spend thirty dollars of merch to get the pass and second because I told Cindy I would get her the poster signed, and I feel really bad I couldn’t, but it was the rules. So, the line continued to move and Fatisha’s mom – who was pretty much a cool mom – came over and told us that on the way down the stairs, Ayabie gave her a high five and on the way back up did the same thing. I’m like “are you serious! O-o” and was so envious, but thought it was pretty cool at the same time. Anyway! Finally, we arrive and Yumehito is first. I had planned on saying “Arigato”, but then realized they were saying “thank you” and such in English, so that threw my plan out the window. So, I said to Yumehito “Thanks for coming. You guys were awesome. It so rocked” (or something like) and he gets all shy and blushing and kind of covers his face with his hand and says “thank you” and signs my poster before I move on to Kenzo and I said basically the same thing as he signed of he replied with a “thank you” as well before I move onto Aoi (he was wearing sunglasses and looked adorable). I kind of shortened my speech down, but kind of said the same thing and of course, another “thank you” before going on to Intesu, who looked so adorable with his glasses on and the speech got shorter and I got a “thank you” and signature from him. By the time I got to Takehito, I just said “thank you” and he signed and said “thank you” back. Then, we all meet up and headed back home, arriving back home at around 12:30am after a stop at the Oasis for some food.

All in all, I really enjoyed myself. The concert was a blast and there was so much energy from Aoi and the rest of the band that I really couldn’t believe myself. He was having us jump up and down, scream and doing all these cute little dances. It was awesome and the venue being small just made it all the better and it was so nice because we actually had space to breath and nobody was killing each other for a spot. I ended up moving a few feet to my right and then back again, but it wasn’t like I ended up far away from Yumehito at any point in time and it wasn’t like I was pushed around. I just kind of, floated around a little. XD It wasn’t a mad crowd, which made the concert so much more enjoyable.

I’m really glad that we went. I really am. ♥

RENT

RENT was FANTASTIC. Really, I don't know I to describe it. When it started, I never wanted to end. The cast was amazing! Tamyra Gray (sp?) who was on one of the many seasons of American Idol - can't remember which one - was Mimi. To me, that isn't like, "OH MY GOD!", but it was pretty cool and she did a fantastic job as Mimi. I think she blended Daphne Ruben-Vega (the original Mimi) and Rosario Dawson (movie Mimi) very well. She made Mimi a hard-headed girl just like I believe she was - plus, I've seen a few videos - in the musical, but she always made Mimi kind of weak and such like in the movie (or at least, in my opinion). Plus, her voice was kind of a blend with Rosario's and Daphne's voice. It was really strange, but she sounded wonderful. Though, she did forget a line in Light My Candle and I think she might have made an error in Without You, but other than that she was wonderful. Everyone else was wonderful as well. Roger, who was played by an Englishman - yes, English - was fantastic. Duncan Bennett - they guy who played Roger - made Roger seem so much, edgier than Adam (though of course, Adam will always be Roger no matter what), but I think it was because he had an accent. It just made Roger more, rockish, and his solo, One Song Glory was brillant! Seriously, it gave me goosebumps. It was breathtaking. Then, there is Mark. Okay, Kyle Post - guy who played Mark - was so adorable! And he sounded SO MUCH like Anthony Rapp - original Mark and again, another one who will always be their character - that it was kind of creepy. XD But, he did a wonderful job and yeah, he did sound like Anthony, but he had his own voice too and he did Mark so well. I just, gah! He was just awesome. Angel. OMFG, AMAZING. XD Seriously, I didn't think I would ever see the day where somebody could actually hit the notes that Wilison - original Angel - could hit, but this guy, he fucking NAILED them. It was amazing! And, he was so energetic and so just, Angel. :) Joanna was good, better than the original one, but I think Tracie Thoms (movie) was better, but again, no complaints on who we had playing her and the Maureen was pretty amazing herself and every line she said made me smile and laugh. She was so funny! Especially during her solo Over The Moon. It was hilarious! The only character I didn't like - who I absolutly ADORE in the movie - was Collins. Brett and I were talking and saying that he doesn't think there will ever be anyone better than Jesse L. Martin (Law and Order) to play Collins. Collins just HAS TO be played by him to be fantastic. But, anway, the guy who played him in our preformance had a wonderful voice, don't get me wrong, he just could not get low like Jesse did. He just had a softer voice, which I think worked very well for I'll Cover You (Reprise), but just didn't fit the character well throughout the show. And, everyone else - the other seven who are just additional people - were fantastic as well. *nodnod* The soloist were awesome. :)

Now, on to the actually play itself. XD

During Over the Moon, if you've seen the movie, you'll know that Maureen will 'moo' like a cow and then say "moo with me" and of course, everyone starts mooing in the movie and that's exactly how it goes in the play and that's no joke. She said "moo with me" (and I was informed of this a head of time since Brett had seen the play once before) and EVERYONE started mooing. It was hilarious! I was just like "MOO! MOO!" and the whole audience was mooing. It was just great. :) Another good part is during Seasons of Love, the characters start clapping and, we just join right in, clapping along with them as they sing and clap. It was so cool! :) I have a TON of highlights from the show, but I don't think I can list everything or else, we'll be here for hours! XD lol. Again, the play was fantastic and I never wanted it to end and when it did, I was sad. It makes it worse to know that it will be closing in like, two months. ;______;

On to what I bought. Well, I bought a T-shirt (of course. XD), the program (which came with this little RENT backpack) and the coffee book table or 'the bible' as Brandon, a guy who we was sitting next to us, called it. XD Those items were like, expensive themselves, but then I got a signed poster, again, by the cast, but this one had Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp's (original Roger and Mark) signature on them! I was like "OFMG", but it was a ton of money, so Brett bought it for me. XD Though, he bought it 'cause he owed me a ton of other money anyway. lol. He always bought me a picture (which I've got to scan) with Duncan Bennett and Kyle Post (Roger and Mark) and that's all I got. The picture and the poster money went to a charity that, at this point, I can't remember the name of. :/

Anyway! On to some pictures!

This is Brett and I with Marcus. Marcus (or that's what we believe his name is. :?) was one of the additional people, but he was the soloist in Seasons of Love and he would always sing the Christmas Bells part too. He had a really good voice and we both agreed he should have played Collins and even though, again, we believe nobody is better than Jesse, he probably would have been pretty close. *nodnod*

This is me with Benny. Well, Rodney Hicks, the man who played Benny, and there is a really interesting story behind this. Rodney actually was in the OBC (original broadway cast) of RENT. He didn't play one of the main characters, but he was one of the additional people like Marcus was in this play. Can you believe it? Even though he wasn't a main, we got to see an ORIGINAL cast member. It was fantastic and he did an amazing job. (seriously, if you hate Benny in the movie, you won't hate him in the play. he is so much better in the play version)

Then, these are our newfound RENTHEADS or buddies, Brandon and Katie. Yes, the Brandon I mention before who was sitting by us and his friend, who was sitting my me (it went, Brett, me, Katie, Brandon when we were sitting), Katie who was seeing it for the first time just like me. ^^ We all decided that we so need to get together again whenever we're on the west coast or they are in the midwest. We're hoping to maybe see Adam and Anthony on the touring cast together when they come around. ^^ These guys were fantastic! Amazing people. :)

Well, that's RENT. It was fun and I had a blast. Just wish it didn't have to end. :(

HAIRSPRAY

FANTASTIC. Seriously, the show made me obsessed with Hairspray all over again. XD After the show, I just wanted to pop in the movie and watch it, but of course, couldn't. lol.

The show, like I said, was fantastic. Ashley Angel Parker was suppose to play Link Larkin, but we found out that he had hurt his back on Sunday or something, so we had some guy named Van Huges (I think that was his name. ;__;), but he was fantastic. He kind of sounded like Zac Efron. XD lol. He did a fantastic job, and so did the rest of the cast. We were able to see George Wendt (the guy from the TV show Cheer) because he was playing Edna, and he did an amazing job. Him and the guy who played Wilbur did a great job during their scene You're Timeless to Me. It was really funny. :)

We were actually a lot higher than I thought, but we were kind of centered and we were able to see the whole entire stage, which was so awesome. They set changes were so smooth because everything was sliding in and out and it was just really thrilling to watch. There were a lot of lights flashing and it was so pretty. *____* Anyway, it was REALLY good and I enjoyed watching it so much. It was thrilling and excited and the end was so adorable because they told us to get up and start clapping and dancing. So, of course, the audience did during the last song, You Can't Stop the Beat. Then, we of course, bought some stuff like a signed poster (our money went to a charity), a program and a t-shirt, but of course, I got an extra thing - a I <3 Link Larkin button. XD Also, afterwards the girl who played Tracy came out and Brett got a picture with her and I got a picture with the guy who played Link. See!

I look like a douche, but he looks adorable. ^^ We also got him to sign our programs, 'cause we figured that he hadn't signed the poster.

Anyway! Got to go. Brett has to check his LOST shit 'cause the new episode just ended.

My friend Becky and I, including her sister and her sister's two friends, headed down to The Rave/Eagles Club around one and arrived at around one-thirty (afternoon, mind you) and met some of my friends who had been there for a while before us. It really didn't actually matter WHERE we were in the line, since we had these jump the line passes because we preordered, meaning that we got to get into the venue before everyone else did. So, when three o'clock rolled around, we were already to go in because it was kind of chilly out, but of course, the venue didn't let us in on time, but they told us all with jump the line passes to move over to the opposite side. Then, about five, ten minutes later, we all found out (us with the jump the line passes) that are were supposedly "no good" because they weren't green (people who were 18 and older filled out this form to donate like, bone marrow or something got the green ones) and so, because they needed to figure out what was going on with THAT we had to wait LONGER. Then, this big black guy said we needed to move to the back of the REGULAR line and was saying something like our passes weren't going to work or some bullshit and I got up in this guys face (not literally, mind you) and began to say that we all (it was like, twenty of us by this point) had the same color wristband (it was purple) and that we had preordered the tickets and got this because we paid EXTRA for it. He was trying to settle me down and push me over and of course, I moved over and did stop, but he wasn't getting my point and then he was telling us that we had to go to the back of the regular line or we weren't going to get to use our jump the line. Again, I was in an uproar and this white guard came out and was asking what the problem was. I was kindly explaining to him what was going on and he just kept telling me that jump the line was this and this and I just said, I know, but these two gentlemen who didn't move when the twenty people and I were moved, had them two and were of course, going to get in before us and we were actually ahead of them. So, he said "Well, who is in your party?" and I told him Becky and he said we could go back over, but we (Becky and I) told him that we the rest of them were with us in the group too, so he let us all go back over there, but we had to push the line farther down. OH MAN, I WAS GOING TO KILL SOMEBODY, but that white guy calmed me down and gave me what I wanted. That black guy had NO IDEA what was going on, though have the staff didn't know either. It was horrible. >______< Though, we got free Rockstar's (the drink) so that made me happy. ^^

By four o'clock, they FINALLY let us in the building. At first, Becky and I and a bunch of girls who we had meet at Dir en grey there last year were confused at where the hell we were going, but thankfully, we found our way up the venue, but of course, it was barricaded two flights BELOW the venue like last time. So, we had to stand there and wait about an hour or so before the let us up and of course, they are making us walk but after a while, I got past the guard and just made a beeline for the right side of the stage because that was closest and where I wanted to be. Thankfully, Amanda (who we met up there, but didn't have jump the line pass) and Becky got up by us, but Amanda had lost everyone else we were with (they ended up like, in the middle two rows back I believe). So, once again, I had the rail and Becky got rail too (though, she got it like, during D'espairsRay's performance since the pushing and shoving had gotten her up there).

It was another hour or so before D'espairsRay finally came out and it was so adorable because Hizumi was like "We are D'espairsRay!" and they started playing. The set list was only five songs, but it was fucking amazing:

There were a couple MC's during the performance and each time there was one, I thought was going to die. Hizumi was so adorable and make me smile like a dork, especially when he said 'Milwaukee'. It was so adorable! And, in all reality, it was one of the best pronunciations of it I've ever heard in my life. Seriously, I've heard American people who can't say it. >____< But, anyway! He got the crowd and I all riled up and everyone was having a fantastic time.

A few highlights of the show:
--of course, the MC's were fantastic. "We are D'espairsRay from Japan! . . .go crazy with us!" XD
--Karyu looked at my friends and I a few times and the first time he did, he rolled his tongue and OMFG, *death* XD.
--Karyu was really into it – he was moving around (he went to the left side at one point), getting the crowd totally into it, just like Hizumi was (I didn't see much of Zero)
--during a performance of, I want to say Hollow , Hizumi jumped down from the stage and walked down that area between the stage and the barricade and I had been so close to touching him, but wasn't able to reach him. :( But, it was amazing none the less. XD
-- during Hollow, Hizumi was getting the crowd into it by pointing the mic towards us during the "la-la-la-la-la-la" part and having us sing it and of course, we did. XD

All in all, D'espairsRay's performance was breathtaking and I mean that in every sense of the word. Literally, I was so into their performance, so riled up by it that I thought I wouldn't be able to make it through MUCC's. D'espairsRay had gotten us so hyped up and tired at the same time, but it was MUCC's turn now.

Right after D'espairsRay had gotten off the stage, MUCC began to appear. Well, at least, Yukke, Miya and SATOchi had. They began to do their own sound check and everyone was actually pretty quiet and again, probably because of D'espairsRay's breathtaking set. So, they set up and got ready, which took maybe like ten minutes tops and then left the stage. A few minutes later, SATOchi arrived, followed by the rest of them. Their set list included:

o5. Shadan
o6. Libra

A few highlights of the show:
--they were barefoot (though that is normal for them, but for me, I was like "OMFG, THAT FLOOR IS PROBABLY INFESTED WITH GERMS. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!") XD
--Tatsuro's MC (yeah, they only had one and AGAIN, he said Milwaukee better than some American's I've encountered and he was incredible adorable. ^^)
--Miya's new haircut – I'm not sure if I'm too fond of it or not. :/
--Tatsuro going off to the left side of the stage and getting on the speaker (I believe it was the speaker? >__<)
--FUZZ. No joke. Watching Yukke actually play the bass (the electric cello thingy) and watching Tatsuro play the harmonica was awesome, and Miya actually moved and came closer to us during the solo (I believe)
--Tatsuro being adorable and funny on stage. XD

After MUCC left the stage, Becky, Amanda and I caught our breath for a moment before looking to see how we would get out. There was no way out, so all of us had to be pulled out by a guard (who I believe, goes to my school. weird. >___<) and had to get out that way. It was weird. .____.

After getting out of there, we went in search of Allison (not freedomxpeace), who had gotten pulled out during MUCC's set list, but we couldn't find her and in the process, lost Amanda and Breanna. So, it was just Becky and I and we headed down to the merch booths and began looking around. The first booth we caught eye of was Harry's booth with all the different Jrock merch, but we moved on quickly to get shirts and such. I bought both D'espairsRay's and MUCC's t-shirts and then D'espairsRay's CD Mirror. I had actually gotten overcharged by ten dollars, so I had to go back and get my money back and thankfully, the guy gave it back to me, but I still think he overcharged me for the D'espairsRay CD 'cause I paid twenty instead of fifteen as I've heard it was. >______> Whatever. I'll live. Anyway, after that we moved to the Jrock merch table Harry had set up and there was like this Dir en grey tarp thing from the MACABRE 00>>01 tour that I ended up buying after debating with myself for like, twenty minutes, but as we were all looking (by this time we had found everyone and as another side note, I hadn't made my decision yet about the tarp. >___<), Harry came around and began helping out Allison. Then, we just started talking to him and he was really sweet (Allison had gotten a SHOXX and CURE magazine, thinking it was 2 for $15 dollars because the CURE magazines were that way, but the SHOXX were each $10, but Harry gave both to her for the $15). Because we were all head over heels for him, we all got his autograph on the back of this Taste of Chaos pamphlet they had laying out. XD On all of ours, he signed it and drew a little picture on the back. On mine he drew a little cat and on Becky's he drew a little penguin. ^^

After that, we headed over to the Rockstar Taste of Chaos booth and waited for MUCC to come out and do a signing. We had a little while to wait (we had started waiting at like, 7:30 or so since we had nothing else to do), but it was okay 'cause we were just chillin' out and talking to each other, Jelena (the girl who had lost her nose ring during D'espairsRay's set) and ome of the guys handing out free samples of the newest Rockstar flavor (which was AMAZING btw). They were pretty cool. Finally, maybe a little after 8:30 (they were scheduled to start at 8:30), they arrived and everyone in the line started clapping for them, but it soon died down as they began to sign. The woman had apologized to us (or at least the front of the line where I was) for having to wait and I told her it was no problem because really, it was like, five minutes or so after 8:30 that they had arrived and that didn't bother me at all. Becky had also asked if she could get another poster signed for our friend Allison (freedomxpeace) who couldn't be there and she said it was fine, so she pushed down to for Becky and one for me and SATOchi was first, so he signed both of Becky's and then got a little confused as to why I wasn't taking one of them, but then I kind of just pointed to her and he got it. I told him (and the rest of them) "Arigato" and SATOchi smiled politely at me, and then I moved down to Miya, who just nodded when I told him "Arigato" and then down to Yuuke and when he was signing mine, I saw Becky getting a hug from Tatsuro and I was like "Oh, I wanna hug. Can I have a hug?" (of course, now that I look back that sounded so ridiculous, but what I can I say? I am an idiot. >___<) as Yukke put out his hand. I, of course, gladly accepted it and again, said "Arigato" and then I moved to Tatsuro. I had him sign my posted and then, really quiet and politely I asked, "Can I hug you/have a hug?" (I can't remember exactly what I said for some reason. >___<) and he gave me a hug and I thanked him both in English and Japanese. After that, Becky and I left to go upstairs to wait for Becky's sister and her friends to be done (they were there for everyone else after MUCC and D'espairsRay) with one last goodbye to our group and to Harry.

All in all, the concert was fucking amazing. I actually talked a really nice girl who had been behind us during the show who was there for Avenged Sevenfold, who we let have the rail after we left, which was totally okay. Though, of course, there were a few bad things. One, something got thrown at Tatsuro while he was doing the MC and I have no idea what it was, but I was pretty sure I wanted to stab the person who did it in the face for dong such a rude and horrible thing and two, the crowd was HORRIBLE. D: Since I was against the bar/railing, I had got pretty damn acquainted with the bar and, to my surprise since I didn't think there were that many people actually there for D'espairsRay and MUCC, it was worse then Dir en grey's show last year. I had gotten pretty abused (no bruises visible, but they are probably inside) and I've been pretty sore for the past three days – it is a little better today – but it was so worth it. D'espairsRay and MUCC rocked the house.

I can't wait to see them again. ^^

Well, I haven't been playing around with photoshop too much recently, since I really haven't had the time, but I made a few icons a while back that I never shared - mainly because they are Zac Efron icons [I'm sorry, but the pictures and the tut I was working with worked better than the Dir en grey pics I was working with], but at the same time, I made some Dir en grey ones too. Okay, here is my live report from the June 16th show. It is pretty long - like, five pages in WORD - but if you do decide to read it, I hope that you enjoy it. I set it up a little differently than my other reports, so maybe it will make it a little more interesting. ^^

WARNINGS: There may be grammar errors and some fangirl moments ahead. You have been warned.

Our day (Becky, Allison, Alex, Ama and I) started at around 5:15am. That was a little bit too early, but that was when my alarm decided to go off. So yeah, we all got up and just sat around for a few hours watching TV. Some of us, including myself, actually went back to bed for a while before getting up and getting ready to go.

We went to breakfast that morning with my mom, grandma and aunt before we headed off to Milwaukee.

From where I live, Milwaukee is only about a thirty minute drive away, so leaving at around 11:40ish that morning put us at The Rave around 12:15pm. We were kind of lost when we got there, so we asked this guy where we line up and he’s like, “You wanna line up already?” and we’re like, “Yeah. . .duh!” and he told us to line up on the side of the building. When we arrive at the side of the building, we realize that nobody is there! WE WERE THE FIRST IN LINE. I couldn’t believe it! I was like, HOSHIT! XD. It was pretty awesome, I must admit. ^^

A little while later, around one or so, a group of people I had recognized from the Chicago show back in February appeared and so we talked to them for a while and slowly, more people appeared. Breanna met up with us at around 2 or 2:30, I’m not quite sure, and even when she arrived, there was only about ten people in line. o_0. So yeah, not to many people came as early as they said they would.

But anyway, around three o’clock or so, a tour bus pulled up close to where we were sitting and like, all of us are looking trying to see who the hell is in the tour bus. Well, we didn’t find out who it was until later when Breanna and I were heading to the McDonald’s to use to the bathroom, we saw the tour bus parked out in the front parking lot. We looked inside and inside we saw somebody walk and the person looked very familiar. A second later, we’re like, “OMG. . .Shinya!” XD. So yeah, Shinya was in the tour bus along with another person, who we believe to be Die. So, I thought that was pretty cool that I got to see who was the in tour bus, and when I got back and told my friends, they were like “OMG!” lol. It was cool. :)

Anyway, we waited a little more in the hot sun (well, it wasn’t too bad after two, seeing that sun went behind the building but before that it was killer) before this dude opened the door and was like, “You can wait in here.” So, the whole line got inside and began to wait in this dark room that was basically like a dungeon with it’s creepy little red lights. Then this lady came out and was like, “What the heck are you doing in here?” and we just were like, “This big dude let us in” and she kept asking who and obviously, we have no fucking clue who it is, so we just keep saying this big dude. So, she went off to find said dude and left this freaky ass guy, who was asking for a light from people, to watch the door and shit. He was really fucking creepy. I think he was on drugs. >____> Anyway, we waited for a little longer before they let us into the pre-show room or whatever where they patted us down and checked our tickets. Then, we entered a bar area and we have no idea where we’re going, but thankfully we found out where we were going and we got there and had to wait ANOTHER half-an-hour (oh, I should have mentioned that doors were opening at 6:30pm) before they moved the barricades to the stairs and let us up. But, they actually had two or three guys walking in front of us so we all wouldn’t run up the two flights up stairs that we had to go up to get there. So, when we get up there, they tell us not to run, but let us go off on our own and of course we’re like, bolting to get where we were. I was holding on to Ama and Breanna’s hand to make sure that I had somebody with me and I accidentally let go of both their hands and made my way to the barricade. Even though I let go of their hands, they both made it up to the barricade with me, Breanna on my left and Ama on my right. Where did we get to stand? RIGHT IN FRONT OF DIE. Finally, my dream had come true. I was at a Dir en grey concert, right in front of my idol and my all time favorite member of Dir en grey, Die. Sadly, Alex, Allison and Becky weren’t able to get up to the barricade, but they got right behind us three so they were up pretty close too. *nodnod*

So, once again, we had to wait for The Fall of Troy to come on and at 8pm, they did.

I have to say, their sound was pretty good, but I couldn’t understand a word they were saying. I was like, “WHAT? HUH?” I just, couldn’t hear anything and the other thing that really sucked was there was this dumbass fan who was like, pushing and head banging behind Allison, who then ended up grabbing on to me for support. I was like, “DAMN IT STOP HOLDING ON TO ME”. But yeah, anyway! Finally, it was time for Dir en grey. . . .

So, as G.D.S played, they each came on stage one by one, Shinya first, until they were all out except Kyo. When he came out, it was fucking amazing because he kind of walked in a small circle around the stage twice with a look on his face that said “I PWNZ THIS STAGE, BITCH” and obviously, the crowd is going wild at this. We were going crazy and just screaming with pure joy as he stopped in the center of the stage. He was about to do a bow kind of thing, but he stopped because nobody was being quiet and just took the mic and hit it against his head a couple times, and everyone shut up. It was then when he did his little bow and they began. Seriously, he PWNZED that stage and he knew it.

GRIEF
Awesome song live. I saw it live in Chicago and I thought it was awesome and it was still freakin’ awesome when I saw it in Milwaukee. I definitely prefer it to the studio version. I think it is one of those songs you have to see to really enjoy, you know?

REPITITION OF HATRED
I fucking love this song. It has always been one of my favorites since I heard the MoaB, and seeing it live was just pure awesomeness. It was so funny to see Toshiya screaming “Parasite children of hatred” all by himself. He made his voice really deep when he did it and it sounded kind of weird. o_0. But, all in all, PURE GREATNESS.

Ryoujoku no Ame
OMG. . .DIE LOOKED AT ME. XD. Seriously though, I think this is the song I remember the most of because I absolutely adore this song and how they had the stage set with the blue lights made the performance more moving. It was awesome because during the chorus, everyone put their hands out and kind of held them in the air and during the first chorus was when Die looked at me. He looked over at our group and then he looked down at me and kept my eye for a few moments and I swear to god, I could have died right then and there. It was like a dream come true. Everything about this performance was moving and emotional and raw.

DISABLED COMPLEXES
FUCK YES! XD! I was hoping they would play this and was kind of afraid
that they wouldn’t, seeing that they weren’t playing it much, but when the beginning came on, I just started screaming my head off. XD. I was like, FUCK YES, BIATCH! XD. It was pretty funny because when we were singing the “I threw away even. . .”, Kyo accidentally sung the wrong word. Or at least, I think he did. I think he said, “throw” instead of “threw”, but it didn’t bug me. I just kind of had to giggle a little bit at it. It wasn’t a big deal though, and the performance turned out just great. Couldn’t have been better. I mean, screaming “PSYCHO KILLER” about what, ten times, was the fucking greatest thing I’ve done in a long time. XD! Though, I have to admit it was really weird when singing, “Because you exist, Because I was raped by you” since, when I was singing it, I was looking at Die. o_0. lol.

THE FINAL
I’ve heard this song three times live now, and I would still say that the Alpine Valley performance was the best one of them all, but that is probably because that was he first time I heard it live. But, this performance was amazing too. All of them (except for Chicago ‘cause I didn’t hear much due to me falling. >___>) are amazing ‘cause this song is just fucking amazing and I don’t think that there is another song I love hearing live more than this song. Anyway, it was during this song that he cut himself and obviously, all eyes are on him and they even put him under a spotlight. I mean, everyone was freaking out about it and screaming and reaching out for him as he is doing this. At the end of this song is when Kyo floated into his accapella part, which was actually pretty interesting ‘cause he made some funky noises that sounded like a bird, but it was still pretty cool. XD

Another song I’ve heard three times live and each time I’ve seen it, I’ve loved the performance. It is always a moving one (though, every song performed is moving, I would have to say) and it was pretty cool because before he began the “Nobody wants the presents” part, he looked straight into the crowd before singing it and I think everyone was singing along with him when he did. And, for the “love, tenderness, freedom and peace” everyone was singing with him as well. It was amazing.

Merciless Cult
Third – not final – song I’ve heard live three times. Um, what to say. . .I love the whole part where Die and Kaoru scream “GASP” because every time they do it, you can like, NEVER hear Die because Kaoru is so over powering. His voice is so deep and it just carries so well in the mic that they should totally make Die’s mic have a little more power to it. lol. It is funny and cute. ^^

I’ve seen this song three times and, along with THE FINAL, this has to be one of my favorites, FAVORITE songs live. I absolutely adore this song and seeing it live three times has just been awesome. I mean, I love screaming the chorus and I love the vocals and everyone on this song. It is just, awesome.

THE DEEPER VILENESS
This song was pretty awesome live. I must admit, I love this song. I know many people don’t, but I do and to see it live and be able to scream “Fuck them all without a care” and “fake rock wannabes just die” was the most thrilling thing ever. It was great. No words to describe it.

the IIID empire
Okay, this is the last song that I’ve heard three times in a row and every time I hear it, it makes me sad, yet so fucking energetic that I’m not able to describe it. This song just get you like, so freakin’ pumped, but yet you know it is the last song they will be playing. It was cool because FINALLY I got to watch Die do his ‘solo’ in the song at the beginning and everything because I never got to see him do it once. I was always over by Kaoru and Toshiya; too far away to see Die.

Alright, that was my little play by play of each song and now I’ll just say a couple things that happened that I clearly remember, but I can’t remember exactly when they happened or they happened a few times to say exactly when.

- During a lot of the performance, Kyo would like, fall on the stage and just start thrashing around and being all crazy and shit. It was fucking ridiculous! I was like, HOSHIT. He kind of looked like he was break dancing at times and other times, it was like he was just thrashing around like a guy in a straight jacket or something. o_0. It was amazing, yet at the same time, weird, but weird, in a good way. *nodnod* He also did a lot of sexual dancing, shall I say? ‘Cause, almost every single time he would, he would do it in a way that made everyone just stare in awe and begin drooling. XD. lol.
- Other than just Ryoujoku no Ame, Die looked at me (along with our group) two or three more times after that and every time he looked our way, I caught his eye and I thought I would die. It was just amazing. I think I watched him and Kyo the most out of everyone of the band members. I was always afraid to look away from Die ‘cause I thought, he’s gonna look this way and I’m going to miss it. I did look away from him a few times though, don’t worry. XD.
- I caught Kaoru’s eye once. During one song, I looked toward Kaoru and he was looking toward our side of the stage and I caught his eye. Or at least, I believe I did because you know that feeling you get when somebody stares at you? Yeah, I got that feeling when I Kaoru looked at me and I looked at him. I was like, “Fuck yes.” I’ve been to three Dir en grey shows and at each show, I’ve somehow had Kaoru look at me. ^___________________^
- During, I believe it was THE DEEPER VILENESS, Kyo was standing in the middle of the stage and he began looking around the crowd and then, he pointed over to our side of the stage, directly at us, before heading over by us. Oh my god, was it a mad house when that happened. He stood right in front of Die, in front of the small speakers he had set up and began to sing and look directly at my friends and I. It was just, UGH! It was just so amazing when he was singing and looking at us. I couldn’t believe it and it felt like the Chicago show when Kyo looked at me while singing Shokubeni. It was amazing.

After Dir en grey finished, we bolted out of that crowd as quickly as we could. It was horrible because these Deftones fans were just like, pushing against us as we tried to get out so they could get our spot and Becky fell because of it. Breanna got lost in the fucking crowd and was pushed like none fucking other trying to get out so I had to grab her arm and hold her to get her out. Man, it was fucking horrible!

After that, everyone went to go get their shirts and stuff (my mom got all three of the shirts for me before the concert started, I just had to buy the wristband and decal thing) and it took forever because they ran out of stuff and so Ama and Alex had to wait while they ran to the truck to get it. That took like, for fucking ever, so as we waited, we got to see them roll away Shinya’s drum set and the guitars. I was seriously tempted to go up to the stand of guitars and just ‘accidentally’ touch one. lol. I mean, I was only a few feet away, I could have made it somewhat believable, right? XD. lol. Anyway, has they waited, we got some water for ourselves and Allison, seeing that girl was about to pass out. She was like, really close to passing out, but thankfully, Breanna’s mom had cookies that she could eat and we had gotten a full glass of water for her to drink. So, after a while, she was doing all right.

Finally, at around 10:30 or so, we got out of there and we saw people waiting by Dir en grey’s tour bus to see them when they came out. We would have done it, but the six of us were so drained, that it wasn’t worth it. So, we hopped in the car and went to McDonald’s, but the damned place was close. So, the five of us, including my mom and Breanna and her mom, headed our separate ways.

On the way home, we picked up Wendy’s, which we ate when we got home and then finally crashed.

Saturday, June 16th was AMAZING. I ended up being the first in line and was able to stand in front of my idol and favorite member of Dir en grey. Like I said, it was a dream come true. I couldn’t have asked for a better performance. This live was fucking amazing and it was worth the six and a half hours in line, and an hour and a half inside the venue waiting for them to come on. It was totally worth it because Dir en grey put on one of the best performances I’ve seen. Alpine Valley was my very first Dir en grey performance and nothing can beat that, but this concert; this concert is so fucking close.

I don't know how I can explain how much I love this song or why I love it. It is. . .perfect. Die and Kaoru just blend together so perfectly that the sound of the guitars just makes your heart break when you hear it and then Kyo's vocals. OH. MY. GOD. Seriously, his vocals just put it over the top and make it the perfect song. Out of all the songs on the new ablum, this one has to best of them all. HANDS. FUCKING. DOWN

o2. THE PLEDGE || Dir en grey
When I first heard the title of this song, I wanted to hear it and I knew that it was going to be a good song. I was right; it turned out to be an AMAZING song. I love the beginning of the song and especially the part where Kyo says "This is my pledge to you". It is just breathtaking. Hell, the whole fucking song is breathtaken. This song is literally tied with 艶かしき安息、躊躇いに微笑み [Namamekashiki Ansoku, Tamerai ni Hohoemi] as being the best song on the album. *nods*

o3. THE FATAL BELIEVER || Dir en grey
After the first little clip we got to hear of it back in Jan., I fell in love with this song. I got to hear it live and man, was it fucking amazing. I really love the part that I call 'the breakdown'. It is right after the first time Kyo sings the course and it is just Toshiya who plays a little line and then Shinya hits the drums like twice. That is like, my favorite part of the song and I have no clue why. This song kicks fucking ass.

o4. DISABLED COMPLEXES || Dir en grey
Just like THE FATAL BELIEVER, I fell in love with it just with that little clip. When I first heard it, it reminded me of Jesus Christ R' n R, which is one of my favorite Withering to death songs, and I really liked the feel of it. I thought it had a good feel to it and loved Kyo's soft voice that he had and then, when I heard the full version, I really loved the contrast that you get to hear. You get to hear this really sweet sounding Kyo, but a few moments later, you get the hard, rocker Kyo voice and the same goes for the music. I really like that. *nods*

o5. REPETITION OF HATRED || Dir en grey
I think the real reason that I like this song is just because of the lyrics. lol. I really like the whole, "Parasite children of hatred" line, hence the name. *points up to name*. Though, really, I love the music. I like the hardcore feeling and I like the fact that it isn't like, really over the top hardcore like THE DEEPER VILENESS is. Or at least, that's what I believe. *shrugs*

o6. 凌辱の雨 [Ryoujoku no Ame] {Album Version} || Dir en grey
When I heard the single version of this song, I didn't like it right away. It took me a few listens to really get into the song and everything. I really liked it when I saw it live at The Family Values Tour, and begin to like the song a lot more afterwards, but when I heard the album version, I REALLY liked the song. I enjoy the vocals A LOT more in this version than the single version and the music seems to fit better in this version as well. So yeah, I like the ablum version and am now kind of like, obsessed with it. ^^;;

o7. CONCEVIED SORROW || Dir en grey
I really like the beginning of the song because I love the creep kind of feeling that it gives out and then the piano is just brillant. I love the feeling that it gives off, along with the feeling that the vocals and the rest of the music gives off. I just adore this song.

February 13th, 2007 - House of Blues, Chicago - Dir en grey: TOUR07 INWARD SCREAM

FINALLY, it is done. My report from Feb. 13th, 2007 is done and here it is. It is long, so if you don't wish to read it, you won't offend me or anything. *nods*

WARNING: Fangirlish moments ahead. Maybe some spelling errors. You have been warned.

So, the day started off with snow. When Alex and I awoke at around 7:30am, it was snowing in our town and of course, I’m having a little heart attack because I’m thinking my mom is going to back out and not take us. Of course, I wasn’t going to let that happen, but I didn’t have to worry about it because mom didn’t back out. So, we take our showers and get dressed. Both of us are wearing our Family Values Dir en grey shirts and our concert pants from that show. Other than just the basics, I wore this red guitar and pick necklace that Alex had gotten me for Christmas two years ago, along with my skull ring. Anyway, we go upstairs and fix some food for our lunch, take care of my two dogs while my mom finishes getting ready. We also packed for the night because mom decided that, due to the snow Chicago was suppose to be receiving that night, we would stay the night at the House of Blues Hotel.

At around 9:00am, we packed the car, got in and began our drive to Chicago, but we couldn’t start right away. We had to stop and fill up first. So, we stopped at the gas station we always stop at for gas and filled up the gas tank in Grandma’s car [yep, we took her car because it is bigger and roomier than mom’s car]. So, at around 9:10 – 9:15am we finally were off, but we encountered a problem. As we drove, the windshield wipers weren’t really cleaning the window of the snow. They actually kept making it dirty, making it hard for my mom to see the road. So, at around 9:45am or so, we had to pull over and wipe down the windows, and then, five minutes later we were off again. Well, it didn’t stay clean for very long and the window was dirty once again and with our luck, we were out of wiper fluid [stuff to clean your window with], but we thought we could drive alright without it. But, after a while, we had to stop and get some at a gas station just passed the Illinois boarder. So, after buying some washer fluid and filling up the holder, we were ready to go off once again.

We got back on the road, but thought we were on the wrong road. Thankfully, we found out that the road we were on would eventually get us back to the road that we were suppose to be on. So, we continued our drive as we listened to The Marrow of a Bone, which went quite smoothly after the whole window thing and the whole thinking we got lost thing. Close to Chicago, traffic did slow down for a few moments due to the fact that there was a car accident. I looked to see what happened and it look liked everyone was all right. *nod*

So, around 12:15pm, we finally arrived at the House of Blues [the hotel wasn’t even ten feet away from it] and I’m freaking out. I was ready to jump out the door and head over to the line [which only had to be about 20 – 25 people long], which didn’t look too bad, but my mom forced me to stay in the car and wait while she asked if we could check in early. Obviously, as she is doing this, I’m about ready to jump out of my seat and get in line, but I didn’t because I didn’t want to get in trouble, so I stayed in my seat while Alex tried to keep my calm. lol. Mom came back and told us we could check in, so we grabbed all our stuff from the car and headed up to the hotel. I’m practically freaking out as we are waiting to get our room and then, the elevator was taking forever, but finally, we got in it and got the room. I basically placed my stuff on the bed, went to the bathroom and then headed outside for the line.

While mom and I went into the House of Blues for the tickets, Alex got in the line and about five minutes later, tickets in hand, I joined her and we began to wait. It was cool because there where these two girls there who I began to talk to and they were really nice girls. I found out about an hour later that one of them is actually on livejournal, and I know who she is. It was pretty cool! ^^!

Anyway, outside. Outside it was freezing! At first, it wasn’t too bad, but as time went on, it began to feel so fucking cold. It wasn’t snowing all that much, but the wind was so fucking cold and the wind was dumping the snow from the building on us. Another nice girl offered to get us something from Starbucks if we all saved her spot, so we gave her some money and she got us some coffee. It took her like, two hours to get it [she left at around 12:30 and came back around 2:30], but it was nice and warm. It kept my fingers warm for a little while. Because of the cold, we decided to take turns at who would stand in line and who would go to the bathroom/get warmed up. At around 2:40ish, Alex and I decided that we had to a. to use the bathroom and b. get warm. So, Rachel and Stephanie [the two girls who we met] held our spots while we back into our hotel room to get warm. We stayed inside for about twenty or so minutes before we headed back out and everything. It was nice to be inside for a while. ^^

Finally, it came down to the last forty-five minutes of waiting [5:15pm] and the people from F.Y.E came out with their flyers for the pre-order of The Marrow of a Bone. I pulled my money out and bought a copy, along with Alex, Stephanie and Rachel. Sadly, we didn’t have any sticker on the back, and Rachel wanted to try one more time, so she did, but she didn’t get one either. :(

Anyway, finally, it was 6:00pm and they opened the doors. If you were over 21, you could show an ID and were able to get into the 21 and older places. Obviously, I’m not, so I just headed in and got checked over and everything before heading up the stairs to the venue. I rushed on the floor, which already had people on due to the fact that you could have paid extra to have been waiting in line inside, and got around the fifth row of people right between Kyo and Die. After Rachel and Stephanie got in, they held our spots while Alex and I bought some merchandise. I ended up buying the wristband [which I lost sometime during the show], the dog tag, the cow skull tour t-shirt and the manga [which I love to death]. I gave the stuff to mom to hold [she sat at a small table off to the side by Die] and Alex and I got back into the mosh pit.

We waited a while and then finally, Bleed the Dream came on. They were good. I liked them a lot and even got a sample CD after the show. A lot of people were actually into them, but nobody was really into Fair to Midland. I really didn’t like them at all. The vocalist seemed like a Kyo wannabe, seeing that he was thrashing around and like, spitting up and shit. It was kind of dumb. >__<

Finally, at around 8:00, they started setting up for Dir en grey. It was then when everyone began to freak and the pushing started. Alex and I got slightly separate, but I tried to keep a hold of her. We stayed close for a little while longer, but then the crew accidentally played G.D.S and everyone began to push again, making Alex freak out. She couldn’t really breath anymore, so she had to get out and I felt horrible leaving her there, but I stayed in, afraid that she would bitch at me if I even moved my from spot. So, I stayed in and waited a little while longer and finally, G.D.S played and Dir en grey came out. . .

Here is the set list [in order] of what they played. The only thing I’m not to sure about it is when Kyo did is acappella. ^^;;

So, when G.D.S began, the mad house began as well. Everyone began to push and shove to get closer and I tried to watch to see who came out when. It was Shinya first, who went straight to his drum set, then Die, followed by Kaoru and Toshiya. They all looked fucking amazing. I don’t know if they looked better than when I saw them at the FVT, but they still looked fucking amazing. Age isn’t affecting them at all. Then, there was no one and finally, Kyo stepped out on the stage. He went to his box, stood up on it and put his hands together as if he was praying and lowered his head just slightly. It was fucking amazing and moving at the same time. He took my breath away.

Then, the show began.

THE FATAL BELIEVER was amazing! I couldn’t believe that I was seeing one of my favorite songs for the new album live. It was just. . .amazing. After that, THE FINAL started and the pushing and shoving continued and as I’m trying to listen and sing to the song, something horrible happened; I got pushed down. I began to flip out, screaming at people to let me the fuck up because everyone was just trying to push into my spot and finally, I got up but I began to dry hack because I was so shaken up by the experience. Some girl asked me if I was all right, I said I was because I was going to calm down and watch the rest of the show. So, I didn’t see much of THE FINAL performance, except for the beginning and a little bit of the end. It kind of really pisses me off, but I guess I’m living and that’s what counts, right?

Sometime during or after THE FINAL, Kyo was shirtless and did touch himself. Sadly, it wasn’t like, touching the bulge in his pants [he didn’t have one. *tear*], but he ran his hand over his chest and abdomen a few times, making my mouth almost water due to the overload of hotness. lol.

I was really shocked to hear Spilled Milk right after his first acappella, so that was pretty damn sweet because I’ve just recently become obsessed with that song for no apparent reason. So, it was awesome to see that, then 朔 -saku- live again. Damn, that song is amazing live, along with GRIEF. That was fucking awesome to hear him keep saying ‘Fuck Off’ and ‘That’s fucking bullshit’. It was a lot easier to hear him say that live than on the album.

Anyway, they did play 愛しさは腐敗につき [Itoshisa Ha Fuhai Niitsuki], which actually made me quite happy. That was one of the songs I was really looking forward to seeing, though I was a little shocked when I he started singing and I started singing and it wasn’t the same part. The lyrics to the song were different, but the song still was amazing to see live and by this time, I had somehow gotten into the middle of the mosh pit, right in front of Kyo.

During 孤独に死す、故に孤独。 [Kodoku Ni Shisu, Yueni Kodoku.], he did cut himself. There was no fishing hooking in the show at all, but he did pull a little metal thing off of his chain that was on his pants and begin to cut at his chest. I remember hearing somebody say something about there not being any blood because, right away, he didn’t start bleeding, but after a few more seconds you could see the blood begin to show. He also did scratch up his chest with his fingernails for a while during the song, but that was it. After that, there was no more blood being shed

When 蝕紅 [Shokubeni] came on, I screamed. It is one of my favorite Dir en grey songs from VULGAR, so to hear it live, I was really hyped up. When he started singing, I began to sing and after a few seconds, he looked down into the crowd and looked RIGHT AT ME. Kyo looked right at me for about thirty seconds and I looked back at him, continuing to sing the song along with him. I wanted to look away because, when people stare at me, my first reaction is to turn away, but I didn’t and I looked at him and then, finally, he looked away and I was blown away. I couldn’t believe that he just stared at him. He did it one more time later during the song. IT WAS FUCKING AMAZING.

Once again, I got pushed and shoved and got moved over a little farther, just between Kyo and Toshiya by the time dead tree came on. Now, dead tree is another one of my all time favorite songs of Dir en grey, so I’m really happy that I have gotten to see it live twice. This performance of it had to be the best though because after the love, tenderness, freedom and peace part, Kyo took the mic by the chord and lifted it a little above his head. He slowly lowered it down a little to his mouth and I watched, enthralled, as he stuck out his tongue and licked at the mic. I couldn’t believe my eyes as I watched this. I was like, shivering at how hot it looked as he did this. It was just. . .ugh! There are no words for it.

After dead tree was OBSCURE and during this song, I somehow managed to be pushed a little farther over and ended up between Kaoru and Toshiya, though I was a little closer to Kaoru than Toshiya. I was still in about row five, maybe even close to row four at this time. So, after OBSCURE, they got off and took their break and everyone was screaming for them to come back out, chanting ‘Dir en grey’. At this point, I was just trying to get my breath back and everything else and I was talking to a guy and his girlfriend. They were really nice, telling me where they had come from and he had asked me if I went to the Illinois show for the FVT. Obviously, I hadn’t, but we still talked a little until they came back out and everything.

When they came back out, the drums began to play and I flipped. Why’d I flip? IT WAS FUCKING JESUS CHRIST R’ N R! I was so fucking amazed! Out of all the songs that I have wanted to see live, that is the one I had been waiting for. I had figured they weren’t going to play it, seeing that they hadn’t been playing it during the FVT nor the earlier INWARD SCREAM shows, so I really wasn’t going to be upset if they didn’t play it, but THEY PLAYED IT and I was going crazy. I screamed and sang along with the song as long as I could, watching Kaoru during almost the entire song.

During another song [it was either C or THE IIID EMPIRE, I can’t really remember], Kaoru and Die switched places and Die came over to our side and I lost it once again. I was screaming his name, jumping up and down to get his attention as he played and smiled and looked at the crowd. What was awesome was that I did get his attention and he looked at me quickly, smiling before looking away. I was like, OMFG, DIE! I couldn’t believe that Die had looked at me as well! I couldn’t believe that I got both him and Kyo to look at me, but that isn’t all. No, that isn’t.

Now, before they came out again, I realized that Kaoru hadn’t done any ‘macho man’ pose or something that related to it, so I knew that I had to get him to do it. I mean, it is something that has to be done during a show. So, during Jesus Christ R’ n R and during the same two songs [I believe I did it during both of them], I began to do the macho man pose [putting my arm up in a fist, pointing to myself] when he would look in my general direction. TWO TIMES I caught his attention. Two times, he looked at me while I was doing it and gave me that cool look he has before he would look around and then finally, he did it. He pointed to himself and did the ‘come here bitch’ kind of thing and I was just like, FUCK YES! I was so happy that he did it and I did it right along with him. XD That isn’t all though. During IID EMPIRE, the crowd was jumping during one part of the song, and I jumped along with them, jumping higher than the crowd. Well, the jumping stopped and I didn’t stop and I jumped two or three more times, which caught Kaoru’s attention because he looked me. Once again, Kaoru looked at me! I was smiling like an idiot, let me tell you.

Finally, the end came and Kyo began to scream ‘Last Song’ [I’m freaking out because this is something I’ve wanted to hear him so for the longest time and haven’t heard him say it live] and everyone was yelling and screaming there heads of. CLEVER SLEAZOID started up and I was screaming. I screamed the whole goddamn song because it was the song that I had to hear this show because I wasn’t able to hear it at the FVT, seeing that they didn’t play it. So, I fucking screamed everything with him as he sang it.

Then, the show came to a close and they began to throw picks and everything. I tried hard to get a pick from Kaoru, who was kissing every one of them before throwing them out, but I wasn’t able to get it. He even gave one to a girl who was holding an empty cup out [they were from the water that the HoB was handing out during the show] and he even was smiling, so that made my night to see him smile. It was so fucking amazing to see a smile that wasn’t one in a photograph. I could have died right then and there. After he was done, I tried to get one from Toshiya, but I didn’t get one from him either. I did watch as he mouthed a ‘Thank you’ [in English] up to the people in the balcony and throw one up there. Die also came around and I tried to get one from him, but I didn’t. What was really cool was that he actually jumped down from the stage and handed a girl his pick. Obviously, I was jealous, but it made me kind of smile because I thought it was nice of him to do that. ^^ Kyo did put a bucket on his head as well. I was like, "OMFG. . .bucket man!" XD! The bucket was black with white lettering that said "Rape Me". I would have followed the instructions on the bucket, but I was a little too far away from him and it was too crowded to do such a thing. XD! lol.

After the show, I tried to find that wristband I lost and get some water, but I didn’t find the wristband. Thankfully, I did get some water, which I downed in like, five minutes. I was dying. During the show, security was spraying water from water bottle on us and giving out those cups of water, but it only helped to some extent. Before we went off to the coat check, the guy and his girlfriend that I had been talking to a little bit came over and he was grinning, a water bottle in his hand. I asked him, who's bottle did he catch and he didn't answer right away. He waited a moment, then told me that it was Kyo's water bottle and I asked to touch it, my hand reaching out to touch it already, not thinking. I touched it and was like, "HOLY SHIT, KYO'S WATER BOTTLE" and he pulled away from me, smiling the entire time. I apologized for like, grabbing at it without warning, but he seemed pretty cool about it. *nods* Alex touched it too before we left and headed to get our coats. When we were in line, the really hot Japanese roadie that is always by Die was there and he told us, in perfect English, to please move so the people who won the meet and greet could get throw. I was like, staring openly at him for a few minutes because I couldn’t believe that a. he was that close, b. he had spoken perfect English and c. because he was that close. lol. XD! [edit: he isn't actually a Japanese roadie. He is actually Dir en grey's American Tour Manager and his name is Harry. *nods*] When we went to get our coats, we tried to get more merchandise, but they closed up. So, we got a Bleed the Dream sample CD and got the vocalist to sign it for us. It was pretty cool. *nods*

Finally, we found Rachel [Stephanie came a little later] and she was waiting for us. She had put her bag up in our room before the show because they weren’t going to allow it in the show. So, I came down the steps and I notice something was wrong. She told us she fainted during the end of the show and I put my arm around her and hugged her, telling her not to worry about it. I told her I fell and that Alex got out before the show started and everything. So, she wasn’t the only one who had a problem during the show. Before we left the venue, I saw one girl being carried out on a stretcher form the show. I couldn’t believe that somebody had passed out that bad from the show.

We went up to the hotel room for the night and the four of us talked for a while before Rachel and Stephanie decided that they had to head out. That was about 12am in the next morning. So, we all exchanged some info and said our goodbyes. Then, the three of us [Alex, mom and I] got some food and I tried to eat, but I couldn’t. So, I headed to bed and that was that.

I have to admit that the show was fucking amazing, but the mosh pit/crowd was horrible. During the middle of the show, this tall guy kept pressing his arm on the back of my head and resting his arms on my shoulders, along with shoving his hands in my face. So, I had to keep pulling them away from me and everything and it drove me nuts. I also was upset because people kept grabbing on to my sweatshirt [which was falling off my waist during the beginning of show, so I had to throw it over my arm] and tugging at it, along with my shirt. By the end of the night, I had ripped my pants, gotten scratches on my arm and a bruise on my knee. The crowd was a fucking nightmare. I wish I could have enjoyed the show more [don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed it very much], but with the crowd, it was hard to not think about falling and getting trampled on. I swear, after falling that once, I almost fell two more times.

Thank you once again Dir en grey for playing an amazing show. You guys rocked the house down and gave me another handful of memories to remember. I wish there was a way to repay you for all that you have done, but I don’t think that I could every give you as much as you have given me. Thank you.

OFMG…the concert fucking rocked!

[WARNING]: Fangirlism ahead.

Okay, so Allison, Becky, Alex and I, along with my mom went. We left my house around like, 10 or so and got to Alpine just a little early, but that was all right. We just had to pull off onto some random street and get in a line, where in that line, we rolled down the windows and fucking blasted Dir en grey. Some people driving by gave weird looks, others just kind of ignored it or heard it, but didn’t look over. Anyway, right at 11am we got in and parked in the yellow parking lot [we laughed at the irony of this, seeing that every time we think of yellow, we think of Kyo. ^^] and they got out and went to wait in line. The wait in line was like an hour and I saw a few Dir en grey fans, but didn’t talk to them or anything. I was nervous. ^^;; Then, some girl came out yelling about meeting the bands and everything and where you could [obviously, I knew along with the rest of my friends where and how to do it, but yeah] and stuff. She also gave out these small cards about Dir en grey, in which we kind of freaked out about. ^^;;

So, after we got through the lines and everything, we headed off to the FYE booth to buy CDs and Allison bought Vulgar and they weren’t going to give her a wristband. Her and I told the lady helping her that, that a different lady said you can buy any CD of Diru’s and get one. In the end, they finally gave her one and stuff. I bought Vulgar, Mom bought Macabre for me and then Becky bought Kisou and It Withers and Withers05 [which had their signatures on it] and then Alex bought Vulgar. After that, we headed off down to our seats, which were really fucking close to the stage. I mean, right by the speakers on Kaoru’s side and we got a perfect view of the stage. It was fucking awesome! We meet this awesome chick that had like, pink in her blonde colored hair, and had Dir en grey written on her chest. I don’t know her name or if she is on livejournal, but she was fucking awesome. XD! She also got Shinya’s drumstick, which I was able to touch and hold for like, two seconds. XD!

Anyway, the band Walls of Jericho [or something like that] started playing first and I didn’t like them very much because you couldn’t understand what the girl was saying or anything. But, as they were playing [or before they started, I can’t remember] Allison turned to me and was like, “Melissa, look over there.” And I was looking, but I wasn’t looking in the right direction so she pushed my head over to where she was looking and OMFG…DIE WAS RIGHT THERE! I was like, spazzing and we tried to get a picture of him, but we didn’t one right. After that spaz attack, Bullets and Octane came on and everything and right after they came on, we looked back over where we saw Die the first time [we all couldn’t stop looking over there. XD!] and we saw him! I was like, “Holy Shit! Picture!” So, we did take some pictures of him when he was standing there [those ones I’m sorry, we’ll not be able to be posted, seeing Die probably had no idea we took them], but then we tried to act like we were watching the band instead of him, but we kept looking over at him. I think he noticed because a little while later, when I looked over at him [we had a clear view of him, he had a clear view of us] he gave a smile and the rock sign [three fingers, not two fingers one] and I was just like, OMFG. I looked away, but I think I managed to do the rock sign too [though, I'm still not sure if he was doing it to me or not, but hey, he was looking in my direction, so I can still belive, right. ^^]. We also saw him smoking and drinking a beer, which just made me laugh and smile. ^____________________^ Anyway, after this band finished, then another band came on, Deadsy, who I didn’t like, then Bury Your Dead, they were good and then 10 Years, who was awesome. During that time, we all bought the Dir en grey skeleton t-shirts and went to the bathroom.

Finally, it was the big moment; Dir en grey was coming on.

They [hot Japanese roadies. XD] started setting up and like, everything they brought on [Shinya’s drums, Toshiya’s basses, Kaoru’s guitars, Die’s guitars and Kyo’s box thingy] people [along with us] started freaking out. A guy came on, I don’t know whom the fuck he was and was talking and said, “Damn, you guys are like just freaking out about the fucking drum set!” We all just screamed louder and then finally, the moment around and G.D.S started playing and we all started going nuts! I thought that they would come out one by one so I planned with mom to take every other guy, I take first, she takes second, but when I went to snap the picture of Shinya, Die came out, so he was in the picture and then I quick got one of Kaoru and Toshiya, didn’t have time to get Kyo because he came out so damn fast! XD!

Anyway, skipping to the good parts and giving set list in the best order I can, seeing I don’t remember it that well. ^^;;

I wanted to hear CLEVER SLEAZOID, but they didn’t play it, which kind of makes me sad. *tear* But, they played THE FINAL, which fucking rocked! I swear, everyone that knew Dir en grey, came for them [and there was a lot for Wisconsin, let me tell you] was singing/screaming that song. All my friends were and I was and it was just fucking awesome. Then, at the end, he sang most of the last line, but then, at the word ‘sakase’ he stopped and held out the word for like, thirty fucking seconds! It was just pure fucking amazing! I should say, by this time, he had his shirt off, seeing that he took it off during –saku-. *nods*

Anyway, I’ll give just some more little details that I remember. Um, during one of the songs [don’t remember when] Kyo did the mouth thing, but he didn’t spit up much blood, which was interesting, seeing that in other shows he had spit up more than this one, but it was cool. He also at one song pointed over at us, seeing that really couldn’t miss us because we were the only Dir en grey fans in the fucking row, except for the two girls who came down by us and then another girl. During the show, Kaoru was getting the crowd revved up by doing a slight [not the full] macho man poses and was pointing to himself and looking completely sexy doing so. Toshiya, at the end, glanced over at us and gave us a little smirk/smile. But then, at the end, the best thing in my fucking life happened; KAORU STARTED AT US!! OMFG...IT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!! He liked, looked right down at our row and looked at every one of us in that row for a few seconds and looked at the whole fucking row. I was completely spazzing out; jumping up and down, doing the rock sign and everything. It was fucking great! He looked so fucking sexy when he was up there; hell, everyone of them look fucking sexy! XD!

I couldn’t have asked for anything more. They were just awesome and rock the fucking house down, seeing that no one ‘booed’ them or anything. It was great.

After the concert [they sped off the stage in like, a minute], we all headed up toward the FYE tent and when we got there, there was a huge fucking line! So we got in line, stood there for a while, then I decided to go look for Devan and Allison [a different one] and found them way up in the front! I was like, “Damn!” I told her we were way back there and she was like, “Hey, come up by us!” So, we did [seeing that almost everyone who was coming in the lines were skipping and going in front of everyone, so I didn't see a big ass problem with it. ^^;;] and then, a few moments later, everyone started screaming so we looked and walking toward the tent was Kyo! I WAS LIKD...OMFG...KYO!! I was shocked, seeing that he hadn’t done any of the ones previous to this show and so it was an honor to go up there and shake his head. Quick note: Mom tried to get a picture, but a girl roadie stopped her by telling her and lifting up her hands, “No Picture!” So yeah, mom didn’t get one. *frowns* But anyway, I went up there and was like, freaking out inside and I looked up at him, shook his hand [he had such soft hands and a light grip that it was like gripping air. *sigh*] and said, “Thank you for coming. You guys were great.” He said "Thank you" very quietly and I gave him the gifts I made them and then he put them off to the side. I swear, I was so nervous that I only looked at him like, for a split second before looking at his hands. My mom shook his hand two, which I thought was pretty good because she doesn’t really like him. ^^! I was proud of her! ^^! Which reminds me; she thinks Kaoru is the best looking! XD! ^______________________________^

After that, we left, seeing that it was about to rain. >.>

So, that was my concert report. Sorry if it bored you. Pictures of the concert will be up by the end of this week if not earlier.

I don't think I will ever forget this day for as long as I live. Dir en grey is my life, my soul; they have helped me when I needed it and seeing them live, I just couldn't ask for anything more. They gave me everything I needed on that stage, even though they probably don't know. In some way, I don't think my life is ever going to be the same after this.

Even though they won't read this; Thank you Dir en grey, for putting on a show that I will never forget.

August 19th, 2006 || Green Bay Packers Vs. Atlanta Falcons || Report

Wow, I just get back on livejournal and I'm skimming through all the reports about the FVT and I'm seeing that some people got to meet Yoshiki. That's pretty cool for them. ^^

Anyway, now my long ass report about the Packer game. XD!

[WARNING]: This is LONG and obviously, it deals with American Football. So, if you don't like American Football, I suggest that you maybe don't the end of this report. The beginning is the trip up and after that, is the game. So yeah, read if you wish. ^^

So, we left here around 10:15am [my mom's cousin Connie and her daughter [who is around my age] Kelly were just a little bit late; not too bad though] and started to head about to Green Bay. Once we got started, Kelly wanted to watch a movie because they have one those built in DVD players in their car and all she had was like, Lohan movies and stupid movies, so I polite said I really don't want to watch those, so she just put on a set of headphones and watched them herself while I listen to my music [of course I had to bring some] and read The Joy Luck Club [the book I have to read for English]. Halfway up, we got slightly lost and then we ended up touring these old buildings and stuff because we had time. They were kind of boring really; nothing to see but old stuff that I've probably seen a million times before at other places. Funny thing that happened was when we were looking at the small toyshop, we were able to touch and play with some of the toys. So, my cousin was playing with this one thing for like, two seconds, then stopped and I went to play with it. I thought it had popped up and was suppose to be pushed down more, so I pushed down and the string broke! I was like, "Holy fuck!" We quickly got out of the building, but then a couple minutes later, Kelly told me she could fix it because she knew what happened. So, we went back in and I guarded the door as she quickly fixed it. When she was done, it looked just fine, which was a very good thing. *nods* XD! Before we left the place, I bought some candy. ^^

After that, we headed off again toward Green Bay but then we stopped again by Michigan Lake because we could see a clear view of it. It was quite beautiful, but the only thing was, it was slightly green and gross looking. o.0! Other than that, the landscape of it was beautiful. We took some pictures of us on the pier and the one a little thing of rocks that were there. My mom took the picture of Connie, Kelly and I on the rocks because she didn't want to go on them. It was nerve wracking on the rocks, seeing that if you fell, you fell into the water below and I was wearing my Brett Favre jersey [number 4] and then the fact that we didn't have extra clothes kind of scared me. Plus the fact that it was rocks we were climbing on, so it was kind of rocky. ^^;;

After the lake, we drove a little farther before Connie pulled over and her and Kelly switched spots, so Kelly drove and Connie sat in the back. My mom and I switched too so while Kelly drove, I was in the front with her. I was afraid of her driving at first, but she actually isn’t a bad driver. I was just worried seeing that one time I was with a friend, we almost got hit by another car [this is a story I forgot to tell that happened during band camp. ^^;;], but she wasn’t bad at all.

Finally, we arrived up at Green Bay and I got to see Lambeau field and I was in freaking awe of the place. I just couldn’t believe that I was seeing it in real life instead of on TV. It was amazing, but we didn’t go in just yet; first, we had to eat. So, we stopped over at Wendy’s to grab some food before we decided it was time to find a place to park and get into the stadium, but we got gas before doing that, seeing that we didn’t want to get gas before leaving because that would be a hassle. Anyway, we got the gas than found a place to park. Seeing that we weren’t season pass holders, we had to park in a Kmart [yes, Kmart] parking lot that was away from the stadium for 20 bucks. Before we left the car, I dropped my sunglasses and they broke; thankfully, I had a hat, seeing that it was sunny out and we almost forgot the tickets in the car. But, then we finally began to walk and the walk to the gate where we had to enter was pretty long, but before we got to the gate, we visited the Packer Pro Shop, which had a ton of Packer stuff. I got a pair of guy’s green Packer shorts and that’s all, seeing that I didn’t want to go overboard and spend a ton and that was all I really liked. I was thinking about getting a long sleeve shirt, but I didn’t, which is alright because you can probably by the same thing at a different place for a cheaper amount of money. *nods* After the pro shop, we walked to our gate and when we got by the gate, there was a bunch of people against this fence and I was like, “WTF?” Then, I realized that inside the fence was the parking for the players. So, I watched for a while to see a white truck pull up in front and I was wondering who it was. Looking closely, I thought it was maybe Brett and when the person finally came out, it was Brett! I was like ‘”OMFG…Brett fucking Favre!” I don’t think we got a picture of him coming out, but it was like, the greatest thing of my life seeing Brett Favre that close in real life. I will never forget that moment.

After that, we waited a little longer and saw some more players come out before we went in line to get into the stadium. Finally, after what seemed like forever, they opened the gates and we went in. When we entered, I was just kind of stunned and literally rushed over to the place where we had to enter for our seats. Finally, I got too see the field and I was just like, utterly amazed. I had never seen it other than seeing it on TV and seeing it in person was just like, breathtaking. Then, we found out where our seats where; they were way at the top, just before the more expensive seats two rows down. So yeah, we were pretty high up and my mom was kind of freaked out about it, but first before we sat down really, we went to the bathroom, got something to eat and drink, then sat down and that’s when my mom really freaked. So, for like, five minutes, I didn’t talk to her because if I did, she would snap at me. Yeah, she gets that way when she is high up. ^^;; So, as she calmed down I took pictures of the Packers practicing and as they did, I caught a glimpse of one of my favorite players [other than Brett], Al Harris and Donald Driver, but then, a little while later, they went in and came back out in their uniforms, so I really got to see the players I liked because, really, I can’t tell what all of them look like without the gear on. ^^;; So yeah, they practiced a little longer before leaving fully and before the game finally began, they had a few other things go on, like singing the National Anthem and a little thing where people would catch a football thrown from here to win stuff. After all that; the game finally began…
I can’t remember exactly everything that happened; what was the score when and whatever, but I do remember some really awesome plays and a story about halftime that I will fill you in about.

Rememberable Play #1:

Packers were 10 or less yards away from getting a touchdown. The ball was snapped to Favre who looked for a open spot and when he did, he threw it to number 86 [Donald Lee], who didn’t catch it and it bounced right off his fingers tips. Thankfully, number 88 [Bubba Franks] was a few feet behind him and was able to catch the missed ball for an amazing touchdown [TD]; the first Packer’s TD of the game, which then lead to the extra one point for a field goal [FG].

Rememberable Play #2:

Atlanta Falcons had the ball and we were defending the team. The ball was snapped and giving to the quarterback [which one, I don’t know seeing that they used their main quarterback, number 7, [Michael Vick] for a while before using their alternates], who looked around and threw it to one his players, who fumbled it and a Packer [can’t remember who really. ^^;;] picked it up and ran with it for a while before being tackled. In the end, the fumble by the player caused us to get a TD and a FG. *nods*

Rememberable Play #3:

Packers had the ball. Snapped to Brett Favre, who passed it off to number 48, [Vonta Leach], I believe, who then in turned passed it off to number 80 [Donald Driver], who ran with it for a while before ending up being tackled. But, it was a good play none the less that’s for sure. ^^

Rememberable Play #4:

Atlanta had the ball. Snapped to the quarterback, I believe it was number 8 [Matt Schaub] or number 1 [D.J Shockley] who then threw it off to one of his players, who missed it, but it wasn't an incomplete pass. It was intercepted by number 28 [Ahmad Carroll], who ran it down to the endzone, giving Green Bay another TD and then, another FG.

Rememberable Play #5:

Packers ball. Before the play began, Favre motioned for number 44 [Najeh Davenport] to move over to the left-hand side before the ball was snapped. When it was snapped, Favre looked into the endzone for a free man and didn’t find one till he looked to the left and saw Davenport, wide open. Threw the ball right into his hands for another TD and then, another FG was made.

In the end, I’m happy to report that the Packers kicked the Falcon’s ass back to Atlanta. 38 – 10; Packers victory. I’m sorry that I can’t explain and remember the whole game, but it was fucking awesome; even though it was a pre-season game. It was still awesome to watch, even though they did throw in number 12 [Aaron Rodgers] during the second half of the 3rd quarter and all of the 4th quarter as quarterback [they didn’t want Brett to get hurt or anything because he needs to be in top shape for the regular season games]. I’ll never forget this Packer game as long as I fucking live.

After the game, it took a while to get out but we finally got out and Kelly and I quick took our picture next to the Lombardi statue; he was one of the most famous Packer coaches in the history of the Packers before we headed to the car. When we finally got to the car, there was no way we were getting out of the parking lot right away, so Kelly and I ran into Hardees, which was only a few feet from the car to get something to eat. It took a while, seeing there was a lot of people in there, but we got the food and went back to the car to eat.

It took us like, an hour and half to get out of the parking lot. It was so freaking long of a wait. Finally, we got onto the road and finally got moving around like, 12 o’clock or so. I put my music back on and tried to go asleep, but the two times I feel asleep, I was woken up, so I didn’t sleep in the end. We did two switches [Connie to Kelly to Connie again] during the trip home. We arrived home at around 2:15 in the morning and by 2:30am, I was asleep. I didn’t wake up till 12 this afternoon. ^^

We have pictures, so when I get those developed and the camera back [we believe that we left it in Connie’s car; or that is what we hope seeing we had done the driver’s switch really quick, we don’t know if it fell out or not. ^^;;]. So yeah, I’ll get those pictures up along with the pictures from my hair, seeing that some Packer pictures are on that roll of film. ^^

Well, I think now that I have all of you asleep at your computer now, I’ll leave you with the mistakes of this report because I'm sure there are some. I'm just too lazy and tired to check it over. XD;;
